It was certainly an interesting way to wake up this morning. Also the follow-up broadcast was pretty much the equivalent of saying "oops jk".

Just a prank hoaloha.

Well, he was golfing when everyone thought Hawaii was about to be nuked, and from what I heard he didn't even make an attempt to get a press conference together, Y'know to calm people down.

Well, the question is, how soon did he even get the information? After all, the warning was accidentally sent out by someone pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole, so higher ranked federal government officials may not have even known about it by the time the Hawaii state government managed to recall the message 38 minutes after it started.

Of course, he could've said something after the fact, but personally, I blame this more on the Hawaii state government for what basically seems to be them reverting to cold-war era style paranoia over North Korea, the country more like to accidentally nuke themselves than anyone else.

Ha, they will blame him anyway. For example he made a typo in a word, breathes wrong, looks 2 degree away from camera etc. They will blame him whatever he does. I thought everyone already understands this.

You know, the majority of us who live here in Hawaii don't exactly care or factor Trump into this whole event to begin with. It was a very harrowing thing to wake up to and deal with, but our first reaction after everything calmed down wasn't "well whats Trump gonna say or do?"

Sure it would have been nice for some form of an actual address on the matter during, or even after the fact even though there ultimately wasn't one. When it comes down to it, the whole event was simply a human error and nothing more.

And while it's sad that Hawaii is in a current state of unrest with the whole N.Korea thing for the past few years, we have our reasons to be concerned when we are a legitimate target due to our military presence. If it weren't for the fact we have the primary missile defense system safeguarding the pacific, and station the U.S's second largest naval fleet, we wouldn't even be a second though to N.Korea.
All this global attention due to our naval presence makes us genuinely concerned for another Pearl Harbor-esqe tragedy to occur.
