No one ever gave a real answer, though one mod chastised the user for the post for some odd reason. Still, looking for an answer to this one. I agree with the OP that it's likely from Massachusetts (Fitchburg for Fitchburg state college, now university). But this is a classic and would love to know more behind the story.
