Being active in the cosplay community, I see it almost every month, some people complaining that changing your skin tone is some how racist. Being white and cosplaying, say garnet from steven universe, you are racist.
We have several blackface entries already, but should there be a general one made about "blackface" in cosplay in general or just specifically about this latest witch hunt or whatever?

America, where actions and words can be labeled as racist, sexist or in any way offensive without taking into account intentionality and context.

Maybe a subentry to cosplay?

Either way, it's really strange to say "you're not allowed to cosplay such and such character if you're not the same race" considering most anime characters are Japanese…
