Should Discworld have its own entry?

Hello Guys

I've been browsing KYM the last couple of days and I've noticed that the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett does not have it's own section, or even a mention anywhere on this site.

I thought this was a bit odd, since Harry Potter and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy both have their own entries. The Discworld Series, at least in the UK, is just as popular and well known as them, with a TV adaptation of the Hogfather and Going Postal being made over the last few years, as well as a TV series based off of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch which is soon going to be released by the BBC.

You would have thought with such entertaining and interesting characters such as Rincewind, DEATH, Sam Vimes, Granny Weatherwax, Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler and a dozen more or so, that there would be some sign of them here; but as far as I can tell, there's not.

So because of this, do you guys feel like it's worth creating a Discworld Subculture entry on KYM?

As a big fan of the series, I would approve of such an entry.
Thing is, contrary to, say, Harry Potter, I don't recall any potential memes coming out of it. Even the "is it Auditor trap?" inside joke never caught on past the scarce fan pages.

It's odd really, apart from the old Alignment Chart meme, there really isn't much out there apart from art of Sir Terry being guided by Death through the endless desert and Death's quote from, I think Hogfather, asking Susan to provide him an "atom of Justice, a molecule of Mercy". At least, this what my own research has found thus far.

I can find a lot of interesting quotes and snippets of scenes drawn by fans, such as Death giving a young girl a sword for Hogswatch and Rincewind explaining to Cohen, the barbarian hero, in Interesting Times that the wall around the Agatean Empire is there to keep the barbarians out; but I'm not really sure if that really constitutes a "meme" really.

The only thing that I could definitely point to being a meme was an image I came across which was a theory about how the If The Emperor Had A Text to Speech Device and the Discworld are connected to each other through L-Space, due to the Orangutan Cardinal you see in one scene from the end of the first season. But the sensible thing to do would be to put that one image in the 40k section instead of creating a whole new entry for it alone.

Maybe creating a base page for it will encourage fans to start making memes for the site, but I don't know really.

Since I'm pretty much brand new to this, what do you think the best thing to do would be?

Well chaps, it's taken me a fair few hours because I didn't realise just how large the Discworld series and all it's associated bits were until I had to summarise 30 years of content down into a few paragraphs, but I've done it.

I'll don't have much more time to spare today, so I'll get to work on the images, videos and external references over the next few days.

I may need some help with adding images to the entry itself, as I'm not quite sure if I need to add them to the gallery first, and then add them into the entry from there, but I'll have a play around with it and see if I can learn it myself first.

Next plan was to do one for Warhammer Fantasy, and possible for Total War as well, but I'll think I'll have a break first; because I know the Warhammer one is going to complete pain to research, but will see.

Thank you all for your advice on this, I'll do my best to try and get this into a somewhat respectable shape ASAP.
