Forgot all about Yakone but my error is forgiveable…I mean, Yakone looks so much like Tarloc that I have to believe there is a link between the two.

Sorry, I just figured that anyone who hadn't seen it yet would have avoided this thread like a plague.

Also, No, that mistake is not forgivable. You have shamed yourself and your family. You ignorance of this show will no be tolerated, therefore I have no other choice but to banish you. Be gone you swine.

I made you do nothing, you posted that of your own accord.

But free will does not exist, Teh Brawler. Which means that the stimulus my mind received from your uh-ing was so strong and so specific that it caused me to post that picture.

So, I was wondering, what do you think of the action in this series? Some people think the choreography and look of it is better, while others think its all around weaker and it's dumb how non benders give them have a hard time. What do you guys think?

Has anyone seen a certain picture about Amon floating around the Internet? I won't say anything about it, but anyone who has seen it will know what I'm talking about

I WASN'T TRYING TO APPEAL TO YOUR PREFERENCES, I BELIEVE THAT FREE WILL DOESN'T EXIST. AND IT WASN'T EVEN PORN.

I've seen it. I wish I hadn't.

Post ALL the creepy porn.

It's more of a supposed screenshot of Amon without a mask. Though it seems to be from a dream sequence and not the real thing.

Haha, bitch please

Genocide, power hungry dictators, revolutionaries, Terrorist attacks, evil politicians, Blood bending, imprisoning people for being different, the list goes on and on. By that persons logic, TLA and LOK are both NC-17
Edit: damn you funnyjunk!

The pic I was trying to post was just listing reasons why mlp wasn't a kids show. Things like famine, war, politics, etc.
Anyways, I was thinking, what do you guys think about the darker approach in korra? Do you prefer the more childish antics of the the first team avatar or just the more serious approach of this series? Don't get me wrong, they both have mature themes that are far from childish, but just which approach do you prefer?

This seems like a good place to jump in. I just caught up with the series. I'm not sure I have a preference as long as its written well. I really like the comic relief, though, like when Bolin starts crying like a maniac. His face was priceless. The Last Airbender had serious times as well as comical ones. Maybe the Legend of Korra is just is just in a more serious part of the story at the moment.

I love the darker, more adult themes. It certainly makes it a children's show more watchable when there's more grown-up drama and politics in it.

No, I think they decided to make the show more mature just like the fans of the past have matured.

Hmm…I have a feeling Amon ends up being one of Korra's allies at some point.

For the Greater Good kind of scenario.

I cannot imagine any scenario in which that will happen. Ever.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. He might see korra as the lesser of two evils. I don't think it will happen, but it not entirely crazy.

As far as I can tell, Amon genuinely believes that at least a majority of benders are oppressive and evil
\
Korra is trying to balance everything and stop all the anti-bender and anti-nonbender hatred and get everyone to come to their senses.

Korra is now against the police and Tarlloc (HOW YOU SPEL DIS?), as is Amon. There is the potential for them to work together on some level.

@Amon and Korra
I'm not saying that they will work together, but it is plausible to think that they might form a temporary alliance to take down Tarlok. It's a possibility I guess. It would also be interesting because as bad as Amon can be, his heart is in the right place.

Take that spongebob, no one laughs at korra!

Jesus Christ how horrifying!

I like it how the majority of LoK fans are treating Tarrlok (THAT IS HOW YOU SPELL IT) like the primary villain, and are completely forgetting Amon, just because of one episode.

IT'S CALLED A COMPLEX PLOT GUYS

Is it just me or did lightningbending became waaaaay more easier in the last 80 years? Even crooks and orphins can do it now.

Well, knowing how metal bending, a technique only mastered by Toph in TLoA, is now easily used by a lot of earth benders, it would make sense people also become more skilled in lightningbending, a stronger type of firebending.

Mike and Bryan have said that each season has its own villain and resolution to that villain.

Tarrlok is now looking like the main villain for S1 and Amon will probably be back as the main villain for S2. As of right now, I hate Tarrlok way more than Amon. I'm anxious for the next episode as it will probably tell us of the events that took place in the flashbacks Korra's been having.

Unless, of course, Tarrlok and Amon are the same person. They fuel each other's agenda, dividing benders and non-benders.

Just finished watching When Extremes Meet. Does anyone else think that the flashbacks were extremely creepy? The faces everyone made in them were supremely disturbing, as were the body movements.

Yeah, the person who is on trial must be a pretty bad guy, or else they wouldn't be so disturbed by being around him.

It looked like Aang was bloodbending him.

Platus posted an idea about this that looks super spot-on. Also:

Why hasn't anyone done this yet? I thought it was an easy-shot. Oh, shouts out to KI..D for captioning it, also.

Tenzin can be pretty awesome at times. To use another meme: "Legend of Korra is a pretty cool guy. Eh challenges the police and doesn't afraid of anything."

Here's the link so you guys don't have to scroll up a ways.

I wonder what he means by "You know, a place right "Out of the Past."? Is he hinting at a hypothesis about Zuko's mother, because of the mountain-jail idea?

Between the bloodbending and the flashback, the last episode was pretty sinister.
