So there I am, sitting in a public place with my laptop happily browsing pony pictures on Google Images, when suddenly a friend of mine from church randomly comes up and sits next to me and says "Hey man, whatcha doin?" My first thought is
"He doesn't know I'm a brony."

So I quickly close the browser and he's all like "Dude… Was that My Little Pony…?" and I'm like
"Uh… No… It was probably just something someone posted to Facebook… I can't control what people post to Facebook. If it was ponies, I didn't even notice."

Then he's all like "Dude, it's fine if you like My Little Pony. I think it's the best thing ever."
And then:

But then I woke up and realized it was only just a dream.

You should take that dream as a sign to tell more people that you're a brony.

My little Hugs: Hugs are hugs
Hugs teim yes?

Yay! I've gotten a few good days regarding ponies.

First of all, a friend of mine started watching Friendship is Magic, probably due to my influence, and she liked it enough to watch 20+ episodes. I don't think she's really a brony (yet), but I'm so glad that I've met someone who doesn't automatically judge the show to be bad, just because it's My Little Pony.

Second, I happened to find the single episode DVD of Ticket Master, that comes with that tiny (almost) show accurate figurine of Twilight Sparkle. I just grabbed the DVD, walked to the register, and bought it like a boss. And not a single strange look was given that day.

Now I've got my own little Twilight sitting on the corner of my laptop, but I have a feeling that I will never watch that DVD. I'm just too afraid to encounter the horrible monster known as the finnish dub. I saw some clips of the dub earlier on YouTube, and for me, it was scarier than Cupcakes…

I was fucking around with Sony Vegas earlier and somehow this mildly amusing pony related video came out. Enjoy…or suffer. I don't know which

Awesome. Also the correct term for a female fan of FiM is either filly, mare, pegasister or pegasis.

I dunno. It's been stated quite a few times that brony has become quite gender neutral term, and that's why I decided to use it instead of pegasis.

Somehow most of the (forced) terms presented to the fandom later on, seem a bit uncomfortable to take into use. But I guess it's appropriate, and about time, that we start taking the female fans of the show into account, especially now that their numbers are increasing rapidly.

…I guess there are girls in the internets afterall.

@ The Anti-Troll:

Dang. I feel you. I had a dream that I was watching an episode of MLP and all of a sudden, I heard Pinkie Pie's voice calling out from the computer screen. She tells me that "she threw a party just for me." I backed away from the computer screen and lied down on my bed in fear, and Pinkie Pie looks at me, grins, and does the rapid eye flutter while waiting for my response. I grinned and started to become excited, and just when I was about to reply, the dream ended afterwards…. =(

But yeah. The MLP-related dreams are so bittersweet.

Alright everyone, I decided to post a short preview of chapter 4, since I haven't updated the story in quite a few days. Here it is.
And don't worry, I assure you there is 100% no shipping in this story.
Please, pleasepleaseplease give feedback. Moar feedback=better stories. Constructive criticism is good.

As a dude I must admit I'm somewhat jelly about ladies getting "Pegasister"; I just like how it sounds when you say it (not that I don't like "Brony").

Oh and I tried to get my brother interested in ponies recently (He likes anything in which characters troll each other, so I was like "lol easiest Brony recruitment in Brony history"). so I E-mailed him the minute long Discord clip last week (spoilers don't bother him) to serve as an example of an instance of trolling in the show because hell it's the best one yet. He seemed to be interested, but I dunno, I don't want to be too pushy.

i need help o wise photoshoppers how to make bigger text. if i put it on MS paint it only gives this text since it's a high quality camera so it zooms really deep when i put it on paint…

any suggestions?

The only alicorn OC I have seen recently is the Lauren Faust one.

I have seen another alicorn OC on Ponibooru, but…let's just say that Luna and Celestia did not approve of it. =P

I've seen some good ones on DeviantArt.

I've seen alot of Alicorn OCs and not a whole lot of Earth pony OCs, it makes me wonder who would do all the apple-bucking in an OC only pony society.

To be honest I actually prefer the thought of having a pegasus OC to having an alicorn one. I dunno why.

Same here, having an alicorn OC kinda seems a tad bit OP, i have a pegasus OC, am I'm perfectly happy with it,
(also, i dont now how, but i managed to get back on the computer, shrug its great to be back)

They're dumb! :D

One of the WORST things you can do with an FC is try and pass them off as some extra-special entity, perfect in every way and super powerful. That's how you get the never ending mass of Mary Sues and John Freemans that take up the majority of FiM FCs and promptly give the concept a bad name.

Good characters are not judged by their "power level" but the complexity and believability of their personality. A good FC is above all else NON-INTRUSIVE, meaning they don't conflict with the canon, they don't make up their own rules, and they're not "BFFs with Luna".

If we raised our standards for what makes a fan character good, then maybe we'd have a much higher output of quality work from the community. Then we'd stand tall and proud as the dominant fandom on the interwebs, and be able to withstand even the longest of droughts.

This.

Couldn't the alicorns use their magic to get the apples? Me, I have a zebra. Hope they don't all rhyme though or I'm kinda screwed.

Back from my school stuff.
Yeah, I don't agree with alicorn OC's much. Making your pony more powerful by giving him both abillities to fly and use magic doesn't seems nice. And just following the cartoon, this sounds to me more appropriate to be used on those "godly" characters, like Celestia, luna and (now) Discord.

You just described my headcanon.

However, I don't exactly know the meaning of headcanon, I'm just guessing from what I've herd all you talk about.

I'm surprised people don't make more non-pony equine FCs, just think of the possibilities!

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. O.o
