We'd probably need V Bulletin to make a forum that people would be happy about using. Throwing that out there in case more people support a move. (I'm not sure I do yet, but I know it's been brought up before).

Oh and has anyone seen the shipping spoof comic with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie where Dash says "And I will put my goggles on"? I saw it yesterday and I couldn't stop laughing.

1: max of one pic per post.
2: don’t dedicate pages to something.
3: keep calm and don’t start shitstorms/flamewars on the thread.\
4: post relevant stuff, I don’t want to see a page with all sorts of retarded shit on it (we are not 4chan, we can keep a conversation on track)
5: ???
6: profit

If you can think of changes or new rules feel free to suggest them and we will all make some forum rules because I swear to celestia, if there is a shitstorm or another mod intervention I will… I'm not sure what I'd do but it would be really bad.

Before the image wars were moved to the forum, we used the comments for everything. And everyone could live with that. So I don't really see the problem with the images, they're a nice change of pace. Not everything has to be discussion.

Also about the problem some have with the forum. I don't really see the problem, some have to get used to it yes. But so far I think it has gone pretty well.

Like I keep saying, we just set up our own forum site so we can do whatever we want without getting mysterious death threats from KYM.

A constant stream of nothing but images pushes discussions out of the way, it's as simple as that.

If I did have any ability with the internet, I'd easily set up my own forum, and wait, supermonday, you've been getting Death Threats, over a cartoon? Wow, some people do take the internet to seriously.

These rules are good. I like them.

Also finding the account will take time, since its activity will probably stay 0. Even if you add it to your friends list, you still have to go through all the pages of friends. You can just use the search bar, but that still costs time. And still isn't beginner friendly.

Good idea in theory, but it just wouldn't work well in practice. To be honest, I'm getting used to using the forum now, it's not as awful as it was when I started.
Er, also, I hate to ask this, but I need to know: how the Hell do I add friends? I haven't seen any way to do so….

go to their profile, there will be a button that says "add friend" or "start following", you click that.

Well the community account wouldn't actually BELONG to anyone per-say, we wouldn't be using it to comment or anything so it's influence wouldn't really reach beyond it's own page.

I don't know, maybe we could just try it out for now if enough people are into the idea. So what say you fellow KYM bronies? Would you guys be willing to try one last move if it meant we could go back to the old system?

You guys keep offering suggestions on how to get outta here and thats fine and there even good suggestions but honestly im fine right here. I mean it seems like so much work for something so trivial.

good example ray, I know a way to get one of those (way too simple) and we can have different sections like one for pic wars and one for actual disscussions.

click start following, then they go to your profile and they click "be friends" and boom. Friendship.

Well, the thing is, we're obviously not wanted here with someone having locked the images once, and someone else having locked the comments, and having just one deal for things like constant images and discussions just doesn't work out to well.

Anyways, I'm with Snuggles here. These forums are fine. I prefer the comments on the main page, but… well, we all know what happened then. I mean, the main reason we used the comments was because it had all the links already there, right? A user page won't have all these links.

Is nobrony listening to me? We don't have to do that. We simply make our own forums and have free reign over them, no trolls or KYM mods to stop us AND we can make them 20% cooler than these forums.

I think these forums are working just fine, to be honest. And I also don't see anything wrong with the amount of images being posted. Why can't we just stay right here, be happy, and post ponies? However, I am totally supportive if we plan on making our own forums (although I can't help – I have no knowledge of that sort of thing) but I don't find it important necessary.

P.S. My power is out from the hurricane (posting via my cell phone right now) so I'm just gonna disappear until it comes back. Beans out.

My beef with the constant pictures is when they push the discussions off. I tried suggesting making a JFF thread just for the pictures, but I was blown off.

Yeah, a forum site like u suggest would always be good, and somebrony could do it (unfortunatelly I don't own all that internet to do myself) and I'd be happy. But I agree with Snuggles, for now we're getting used to the forum and everything seems just fine.
