Human Ponies…..

In relation to the topic at hand, I feel I must cite Faust's Doctrine of Anthropomorphism:
The characters are, and will always be, ponies. There should be no human personification, ever. Canon, fanon, it doesn't matter, they are ponies.
That's my opinion, and the opinion of Lauren Faust. Look it up.

I gotta agree with Vulcan on this one. Human/anthro ponies just sorta… Creep me out. For some reason. I don't know what it is about them that just strikes me as weird. I like them as ponies, and I want them to be ponies.

The power has returned to my house (for now) and the first thing I do is ponies. Glad to know my priorities are straight! :D

Well Im not a fan of human ponies but ill make exceptions on antro ponies from time to time but keep the ponies ponies

Oh, is that what that game is called? Yeah, that's quite a wait for that game. Hopefully the Fighting is Magic game will come out soon while we're waiting.

Speaking of the fighting game, I hope that once it's done, the characters are able to be taken out of that game and put into MUGEN. Now that I found the Duck Hunt stage/character I was looking for, I'd love using Applejack in there. Anyone but Fluttershy for that level.

Yep, I was surprised to see that Fighting is Magic wasn't using that. As a matter of fact, hopefully the stages and music would be transferable as well since the Applejack stage music was rocking.

Well, that is if the characters would be even transferable to begin with.

Alot of the winning the fight animations that will be used in that game were suggested by myself and my other brony friend. I cant wait to see how they turned out

There was someone, I'm not sure if it was you who suggested something about Fluttershy saying "did I hurt you?" or some sort in a non-mocking tone, since of course that's not Fluttershy's thing, she'd pretty much be more concerned then anything.

The only fanfic I ever read was something about Twilight Sparkle experiencing her first hangover. Short but funny fanfic IMO.

Anywho, on what I missed and what is currently going on:
Humanized/Anthro

• I don't feel Anthropomorphized ponies at all. I'm, like, an all-pony or all-human kinda guy. A well-done humanized pony gets thumbs up from me. I don't fear humans in canon, because Jayson Thiessen already said that there will be no humans in Equestria under his watch (thank the word of god…the link is just that one question, by the way…not the mess the whole AMA was.) And in the fandom, it's just cool art.

@Vulcan's dislike of non-pony Pony:
I remember her making a quick note of the Bridlemaids billboard in California, but I don't know if that equates to a full-on disapproval. It's was like, "Human poses! AHHH!" or something like that on her DA.
 
Guest Appearances

• I was originally excited about Weird Al, but I kinda don't want there to be a pony voiced by a person who is obviously the person voicing the pony. I feel like it blends reality with Equestria a little too much. I still do love Weird Al. Maybe not as a pony, though.
• As for one-time characters from Season 1, I was never thrilled about Gilda. She had her kinda awesome moments, though. Trixie needs to come back for an episode, perhaps as a less antagonistic pony, but she better be Great and Powerful. Really, hoping for Gweat and Powulful filly Twixie, though I like her attitude.
• Needs more dying Philomena. But it probably wouldn't make sense in an episode, though, so…maybe not.

If there's been more discussion since I've started typing, I'll jump in then.

Guh, stupid blockquote, using the term quote should be enough, but I digress. Anyways, Gilda, I wouldn't mind if she came back, if like someone else said, to make amends, particularly to Fluttershy, but we'll see, cause at the moment, she is easily my least liked character.

As for Trixie, it'll be interesting to see if she continues to have the supposed boastful attitude that she had the first time around.

I actually would like them to take some of the more ephemeral guest characters (I'm thinking Silver Spoon et al) and develop them more. They seem a bit too flat among the rest of the cast, they are just stereotypes. You could actually do a lot with them. Think: rich and self richeous girl going to school with the "great unwashed" of Ponyville while the high-society life goes on without her in Canterlot. She hates living in Ponyville, but it's all she's known – she's stuck up, but she doesn't know why, and it isolates her from everyone. Heck, it would only actually take a few clever directions and a couple of lines to establish most of this, and then you'd have a much more fleshed out character.

I like it the way it is, but if it's boring to most, so be it. It'll become lame for me too, in time, if people start to leave the thread due to a lack of images (or perhaps an increase in restrictions.)

I was kinda disappointed that Trixie was only in one episode. I like her character design and how there's fan art of Twilight v.s Trixie magic fights here and there.
