I don't see why everyone's fussing over making new forums and stuff. I'm quite happy here to be honest.
Anyway, I thought one of the concerns with moving discussions from the comments to here was that it could split up the KYM brony community. Wouldn't moving to a different site just split it up entirely?

Also this.

I agree entirely.

Not if it was linked, and as I said at least a million times, my gripe is that the constant images would push discussions down. Supposedly that deal to post only on the last page was to make people read through the thread, but guess what, that fails, particularly when the thread is nothing but images.

Well the forums seem to have picked up a notch (if only because we're really only talking about where we could go instead of the forums or defending the forums, but whatever) so I don't see any reason to leave at the moment. But if it all goes downhill again we have more options at least.

I just think it'd be better for us to stay on here. Even if the new forum is linked, not everyone's gonna use it, and the community would be split even more. No, for now, we should just stay on here, and hope this all works out in the end.

Sir, my kudos, they're yours.

As long as images are enabled here, I don't think it's going to work out, again, that should be left for the JFF area, but that's just my opinion.

Not everything has to be super srs conversations. An image every now and then is fine.

I also apologize in advance for any multi-posts, I'm getting a lot of server errors.

Every now and then, yes, but half of the time I've noticed, one picture leads to another, and that one leads to another, and so on and so on.

Image wars! Huzza-
Oh wait, that's bad… right?

For this particular area, yes, that sort of thing I don't mind, but I don't mind it when it's kept in the JFF area.

Also, am I the only one getting errors when trying to post?

Currently you have the most trouble with the images. If you think we should make a forum on JFF entirely dedicated to images, why don't you make one yourself?

For as far as I'm concerned, this forum works fine. Creating all types of other forums will only split the community.

Why can't this be a discussion AND Just for Fun topic?

Also, no, I am too.

Because I've seen what happens when you try to make a new pony related thread. It gets flooded with trolls and bam closed due to flame wars.
Ah, okay, I thought that I was the only one getting the Disaster Girl page when I posted.

Eh, after the forums were full to the brim with pony threads, there was a huge backlash. And I do mean HUGE. (Those captial letters dont quite convey the HUGE of it). Because of that, new pony threads apart from this one are frowned upon, and shouldn't be created unless they have important news and so on.

This may be a case where a new thread could be created, but 1) I would still advise against it, and 2) It's really not a problem. It;s not like anyone was even discussing anything when the images were posted, and people were trying to have fun. Shouldn't this thread be all about having fun? Even image dumps are preferable to long discussions about the quality of the forums and the number of images.

Everyone, Protip to avoid multiposts:

If you get the Disaster Girl page after posting, just cut the URL down to knowyourmeme.com/forums/general/topics and press enter. Refreshing causes another post.

Sigh, I don't like this, but I would be willing to give it a shot. Personally, I'd prefer being able to comment on the main page and leave the images to the forums, but Heaven forbid, we can't do that.

Alright!
So…
new topic time? Please? This is boring me.

Ashki wrote:

Yes, but as I always like to do, unstead of derailing the discussion with the fun part, it can always be used to enhance it. I often try to remember of any meme, pony related or not, that fits a discussion topic or answer to someone. It makes the conversation fun, AND at the same time, doesn't drives it out.

Ashki wrote:

Keep on it, I may need use of it should the images get out of hand again.

yeah but what good would it be if just one person wants it?
My argument for a new message board thing is that everyone profits.
Multiple sections so nobody can get pissed about a sudden image war or a sudden srs discusion.
No more additional pony threads on KYM, haters can't hate.
I give something back to the community and feel successful.
Everybrony can have a good time doing pony stuff.
We get to control it, a message board by bronies for bronies.
It could be 20% better than this one.

But if the popular vote is "no" than I'll stop and use this.

Trust me, I don't like this anymore then you do, but the vote seems to be no, and we're stuck here where sudden image wars and such might happen. I tried, but in the end, I failed.

Haha! Had me there for a sec. I was baffled at how you got to quote two different people in one post.

How would newfoals discover this?

On this site I have all the information and art I need present within few mouse clicks.

Well, that maybe the case with you, but as I said, you can't control what other people do, and one thing leads to another and such and then wham thread derailment occurs.

Tru but many newfoals discover the other pony websites through here by reading the article (that's how i found them) and it is pretty obvious our presence is not enjoyed here. As far as the info and art, this is a good place to get that stuff but there are much better places. Looking through the over 1000 pages of images for a pic only to find that the topic you were going to use it on has moved on is not that efficient and plenty of info/important things don't get posted on the article (Jayson Thiessen's thing on reddit, info about season 2, ect.). I understand what you are saying Random but I just think there are better ways for us to conduct our ponying.

@Ray
I never said I really wanted to leave the KYM forums, I'm just attempting to stop a fire from starting. I don't mind the images, hell that is the main thing i do. As far as your comment on my wall goes, the vote wasn't "lol, no" it was more of a "I'm fine here so… nope.avi"

Oh hey guys, I'm on the internet!

I actually greatly prefer the use of forums over the comments section and for a few reasons. My greatest reason being that I CAN FOLLOW THE CONVERSATION. Do you realize how hard it is to come back after a 16 hour absence, see there's like 300 new comments? Then I have to go back like 20 pages as it's 15 comments a page, and generally read backwards up until the current point. Another thing that really helps with the forums use of conversating, I CAN QUOTE YOUR POST! instead of a @Username here where I have to figure out now what his post was which can be as far as a page back and figure that, and go back to the question replying to it to figure out what he's saying about this and it just get's bloody annoying. And quite frankly, I prefer being able to follow and participate in the topic in a reasonable manner as well as still being able to enjoy reaction images in every other post a bit more than going as far as bitching, wanting rebellion, and to get our own damn site, because you can't scroll up, click it on the trending bar, or go into memes, popular, right there, or if you favorite the entry, go into your profile and into your favorite memes and get it there, so you can take 3 scrolls of your scroll wheel, or a quick click and drag of the side bar to get to those damn links and images. And I'll be honest, I've been looking at alot less images, and I've been more focused on the images "Most Commented" and "Most Favorited" as that's telling me what is "In" when it comes to pony material that it warranted a comment and/or favorite.

[/ rant/opinion]

'Kay, this is totally boring. Time for a topic. Human Pony's? What do you think. I love seeing the large number of different styles of these human versions, and I'm suprised at how nearly every version is different. (Although Twilight always wears sweaters vests and Fluttershy ALWAYS wears jumpers. Some people however for some reason don't like seeing them humanized, and I don't understand this. Also, theres quite a bit of controversy when the cast are drawn in a different race online. That's racist of course. Indian/Black Twilight is the most famous of these, what do other people think about this sort of thing?

One of my favourite human versions. Human fillies mane cast, hell yeah.

Oh boy topics,

I like human ponies, I don't favor that image in particular, though.

And CitationNeeded, what exactly do you mean by "Guest Characters" just for clarification?

Characters who only appeared in an episode or 2, E.G Trixie, Gilda, Zecora.
