Wait, what? Are they really making a movie about a sleeper hit inde game? It's official: FNAF is the new Minecraft. Can't wait to cringe at how badly they'll butcher it.

It actually sounds like a good idea if they manage to uphold the core idea of the game. And besides, don't expect it to be made unless the actually start filming on set. Stuff like the purple man and the bite of '87 sound like good things to center the movie around on.

To be fair if they already butchered FNaF by just making the first game in the first place.

Exactly. At least if they butcher this movie they'll just be butchering some mediocre fad indie game.
FNAF's story isnt that good.In the games, all you were told was that you were a night shift guard working in a restruant, later a haunted house attrection, trying to survive while deadly anamatronics were trying to kill you, with everything else being told trough Atari-styled minigames and newspapers in the first game. While it worked in the games,I don't see how this can work in the movie.

*second game
…Yeah, I can't imagine this movie staying faithful to the games and being a good film at the same time. I hope they take a few liberties…
I don't really love nor hate FNAF, but I'm interested in how this'll turn out.

This is pretty much the official slogan of all FNaF discussions.
But anyway, I've got your director right here, guys!
I'm surprised by how FNaF opinion shifted from a cool popular indie game to a mediocre game with cringey Fandom plagued with edgy kids, its like rage comics again.

No a lot of people said from the beginning it was this bland, unscary, YouTube bait. But to be fair there was a lot of positive reviews and such on initial release, but with more people who know about come about more people who dislike and annoying people that do like it.

Things are cool and popular until they go mainstream.
A film? Really? I don't have any other words. I am just going to tut in disapproval. FNAF was great at first, but it's gone way past its sell by date now.
i thought they already made the FNaF movie. it's called the FNaF games lol.
good on scott cawthon tho, i think he's a talented 3d artist.

This will either be really great, or really shit. Probably shit.
The second I saw this, I knew from this moment on that Scott Cawthon is Loadsamoney incarnate.

This feels like a cash grab to me.
I know the game is successful, but does it warrant a movie?

Not to actual fans, but to the edgy idiot kids who post the same dupe of freddy's ragdoll 15 times on GMOD, it will sell like hotcakes.

I… Wow. This is really happening. Why is there a fucking indie game that got its own movie.
This will probably suffer the same fate as all the other video game movies.
A flop.
I'm neutral to FNaF rather than someone who hates it because it's popular and 'everywhere'. While I never played FNaF before, I will say….
Let's wait for the result.
On one hand, the movie can potentially be an successful movie. Remembered Lego Movie? It was a huge success and it was distributed by Warner Bros….
On the other hand, the movie can be potentially screwed up. By simply putting too many romance plots that nobody even wanted and something somehow even worse than that. At best it will be panned by audience and critics alike,at worst it will be one of the worst film.
In conclusion, if you want to do something right, use the right tools.
I have no idea what am I talking about except for the first three paragraphs.
