sigh

Look, it will probably be good since Toriyama is in charge and all of that, and I know this is due by popular demand…….

But whyyyyyy

Why people can't understand somethings need a end? Did people (and Toei) not learned from Naruto and One Piece things are better if kept short?

I'm really glad, that set of planned movies should have been a TV series from the start, I'm calling it now, it's going to have very goofy moments that probably will piss off a lot of people, Dragon Ball always had these, take off your nostalgia googles and see it for yourself, if you refuse, you're not a real fan, the author has always had a carefree attitude

Already seeing people complaining about the "milking" and that Dragon Ball is dead, lol, I hope it's as sucessful as the movies just to piss of that bunch

Yeah I'm in the "ehhhhhh" club. I liked the show a lot but GT was like the worst thing humanity has ever made so I'm not sure if it'll work out. Also, this much time after it was over it's like the equivalent of getting a dead horse that was already beaten and then bringing it back to life to beat it to death again.

It could be good though what do I know. Also, who are the main characters going to be? What's the plot at this point?

Going from what I read, this will occur within the canon chronology: After the defeat of Majin Buu (end of Dragonball Z) and before the events of Baby in GT. I don't know if it's going to have action or not (I'd assume so, since that's what most people expect from Dragonball, despite the often lighthearted and even ecchi nature of Dragonball before Z.)

But I could easily see Goten and Gohan growing up, the development of Pan as a child who was the age of Present Trunks and Goten later in Z, and everyone else dealing with smaller, less world-threatening matters than Frieza (although, there was a comment saying that there might be (read as: will almost certainly will be) a villain more powerful than Buu or Frieza.)

I think you could tell a story within in. Whether it's good or not depends on the writers. Other shows which have no business being good end up being good, because the writers make it so.

I guess just a few things. If they can keep the fights fast paced, tactical, well choreographed, and most importantly cutting down on all the stretching things out for unrealistic amounts of time like they did in Z, I can see this doing really well. And I think it might wind up happening due to the fact it's not being developed as a Manga first and an Anime second.

This is actually the perfect opportunity to re-work Dragonball into a truly spectacular anime that breaks the tropes and practices it itself established and raise the bar for the entire industry.

But I can also see how this can wind up doing badly. So i'll enter with as much caution as the next guy.
