Dan Brown, and his movies

I just watched Angels and Demons and I was wondering what do you think of the writer Dan Brown and if his movies/books would had been better if he either got his facts straight or admired that he didn't research as intensively as he claims?

I think the books are good as works of fiction and nothing more. The fact that he claims them to be factually correct is a bit annoying but I don't personally think that should detract from someone's enjoyment of the actual story.

I like Dan Brown's books, despite being an author whose works are met with mixed reactions. I've read Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci Code, and I'm also keen on reading the Lost Symbol before I get to Inferno. There are glaring historical inaccuracies but the same can be said about Assassin's Creed and that's still an enjoyable video game series.
