New Simpson Episode Endings

Now I know that some of you have mixed opinions of the newer episodes of the Simpsons. As for me, they're okay in my opinion but not as good as the old ones.
Anyway, there's something I've noticed about the new episodes of the Simpsons. Some of the endings make no fucking sense in context. I have two examples.
1st Example: In the episode Specs and the City, there's two plots: Homer spying on Marge and Bart not giving Nelson a Valentines card. At the end of the episode, it shows Lisa telling Ralph that he gave her a tooth, which he then said it was to grow a new Ralph. Lisa then says that she likes the old Ralph and pats him on the back. The Ralph says "Ralph better get ready for Saint Patrick's Day" and draws on his face in marker. Now this would've made sense if this scene happened earlier in the episode, like when the kids were handing out Valentines. However, this happens in the very last part of the episode. I just found it sort of out of place.
2nd Example: In the episode Bart's New Friend, police chief Wiggum recently caught a master hypnotist. However, it shows in the jail that the hypnotist hypnotized Wiggum into thinking he's the prisoner and that the hypnotist is him. It then shows the hypnotist leave the cell in Wiggum's police uniform. Then, out of nowhere Loki appears right in front of Wiggum in a puff of smoke and Wiggum says "Loki!" I'm not fucking kidding you, that's how it ended. That made absolute no sense to me. Why was Loki there? Why did he look like the Loki from the Avengers? That episode of the Simpsons had nothing to do with the Avengers. It literally made no sense to me.
Am I the only one noticing this trend of Simpson episodes or are others seeing this as well?
