Reviews for "The Room" copyright striked by Tommy Wiseau(?)

This just reeks of a troll submitting fake copyright claims.

While Wiseau is… enigmatic, to say the least, he doesn't seem like the type to silence reviews, especially since he's done nothing like this before in the several years the film has been well-known.

From what I've read, this apparently happened before. Wiseau said it was an imposter named John or something.

My biggest question is why the copyright strike on the NC review has a different name than the other two strikes.

That's actually a tell tale sign of when the take down is from a troll, they usually make mistakes like this.

Wiseau is pretty open to people having a laugh at his movie, probably because he understands the exposure makes him money.

Tommy Wiseau knows people love to laugh at his movie -- and it doesn't bother him at all.

"Absolutely not," Wiseau said recently, "to the contrary."

The film in question is the 2003 romantic drama "The Room." The movie was written, directed and produced by Wiseau, and in the 12 years since its release it's taken on a nearly mythic status.

It draws fans, many of whom lovingly place it in the "so bad it's good" category of cult cinema, to midnight showings in New York City and Los Angeles, where they respond with "Rocky Horror Picture Show"-style devotion and participation.

Chronicling, in broad terms, a very R-rated love triangle between stand-up guy Johnny (played by Wiseau), his girlfriend Lisa (Juliette Danielle) and Johnny's best friend Mark (Greg Sestero), "The Room" also earns more laughs than most traditional comedies. And Wiseau said the laughter has his approval.

"I grew up in a family that you could say whatever you want, as long as it's in a sincere way," Wiseau said. "It doesn't mean I'm going to be punished because I say something negative."

I doubt with that sort of attitude he cares much about YouTube copyright strikes, unless he's gone crazy crazier.

"I did not submit a copyright claim, I did not! … Oh, hi Mark."
