when talking about about vidya music people always talk about the best ones: metroid, call of duty, command conquer, and all the other games that has famous soundtracks.

but what about the underrated games? some of them have really, REALLY. REALLLY good soundtracks.

so lets collect them all here.

1)

just to picture the amazigness of this song: picture a bleak, dark and smoke ridden mega-city decimated by pollution and it's factories constatly producing killer robots….

2) runescape – has over 500 songs, and most of them are great. just listen to this one, to think the boss fight the music was supposed to enhance was actually pretty easy…

3) dawn of war 2 not so underrated but its music is godlike and i never saw anyone saying it.
so here. so you can say it.

so what do you think? good songs?

post more of underrated vidya themes

I see you already posted Dawn of War 2 soundtrack, OP, which is nice. Angels of Death is my favorite.
IN AVIS, IN NOVAS, FARSONI. INVERE, VESU VES NI VOOOOOX

Also, The Grey Goo soundtracks were beautiful. Thank you, based Frank Klepacki.

Can't disagree on Runescape. This one brings agelong boss fights good memories. I think this was from their first "master difficulty" quest.

Oh and Valkyria Chronicles too. Music always makes even the slowest of fights great.

Zelda soundtracks are usually praised up the ass as well as the games, but spirit tracks is a pretty ignored game due to its mediocrity. I do agree the gameplay is just kind of there and isn't the best, but the OST is one of the most beautiful I've heard in a game and it's such a shame it pretty much doesn't exist since the game itself is so obscure.

The final boss theme takes the cake for the best track in the game though and one of my favorite songs ever. Just listening to it makes me emotional. In fact when I first found this song looking through OSTs on Youtube I went out and bought a 3DS and the game because of the song. It's that good in my opinion. It's a shame we'll probably never get an official remix of the song though, particularly orchestral. I was hoping it'd get into Smash bros but oh well.

Some other good songs from Spirit Tracks are Byrne's theme, Byrne's boss theme, both the boss themes, Cole's theme, Temple theme, overworld, ah fuck it just go check them all out it's too good to be ignored.

By the way Runescape's OST is sexy.

F-Zero GX has the best soundtrack of all the F-Zero games, I even prefer the updated Big Blue and Mute City themes to their original counterparts (Which I'm sure is a very unpopular opinion), I could have included anything here, but this track in particular stands out to me, when the track picks up it's like a thrill ride, which is fitting I suppose.

Here's another underrated game with one of my favourite soundtracks in any game, ever. Similarly, anything could have been included here, but I highlight the menu theme and map screen theme for being absolutely beautiful, very few songs in games I actually find emotionally investing and moving, but this game's soundtrack does just that superbly.
