Why are the mods having so much trouble purging the porn spammer?

Is this site made out of spaghetti code or is "poochenya" some kind of expert hacker? Are trillion-dollar companies the only sites that can mop up properly after a breach?

"Third, the reason why I’m spamming porn is because Mods banned my accounts Asahiwet, ZehaBlackbeard, & CowboyNaruto 10 years ago. So yeah, it’s just straight up Revenge. I can’t really let this go. I’ll keep spamming porn until I die."

Yes, we literally have to sit here and manually delete each post. Don't like it? Talk to the staff

Seriously, please talk to them.

Please.

Damn ..that actually sucks sorry man

This may not be the best solution possible, but one "workaround" I can think of is putting the ability of linking of images and videos on comments, as well as uploading either including new entries, behind a comment threshold wall that each account needs to reach, kind of like we already do for editting other posts' metadata.

I am aware that this goes completely against the point of a site that takes Wikipedia's idea of "anyone can contribute with entries and media for this site's documentation", but let us be honest: most entries are made by Staff these days and most images that get any significant traction are posted by site regulars anyway, so functionally speaking, this would help more than it would harm. The only thing that new accounts would be able to post under these conditions is text-only comments, so worst they could do is spam, which we already get with spambot ads.

It could at least be a temporary patch until coming up with a back-end-coded solution to deal with this.

My man, please go outside.

With such an easy target as this website I doubt he needs to dedicate much of his time to do it.

Is the spam why the comments on the Kenosha article got disabled? I remember seeing a bunch of gore before I went to bed, and now it looks like it's cleaned up, but the comments are disabled.

yeah, it was discussed and it seems that was the article they spammed the most.

Yeah I figure as much that reason such spammers are appearing is due to some kind of flawed coding that doesn't either pick up on borderline pornographic material or some kind of machine learning pattern that picks up on users that displays specific behavioral pattern of posting.

Still the above guy spamming the porn is an asshole! Especially with all the guro shit.

Dear 4 people that downvoted this: I am curious if you dont believe the statement or just dont like it, If the latter, fair enough but if its the former I must ask where have you been the last year?
