Massive memory leaks while viewing articles

Every time I try and load an article, firefox starts crashing. Task manager indicates that the tab in question is requiring an order of magnitude more physical memory than any other tab I'm using, which seems very strange. Google searching indicates that a similar problem occurred a few years ago.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas what's going on?

I'm having the same issue, and yet I don't understand how it works. I can view articles just fine on my laptop, yet on desktop the memory leak issue happens every time. Even though I'm using the same browser (Firefox), and the same plugins.

Alright I've found the problem on my end. Turns out the addon Honey was causing the slowdown, for whatever reason.
