I have discovered a way that someone may upvote their own posts.
If somebody finds out their post number, they can type it into the address used for upvoting, and then just put that in the address bar.
As an experiment, I did this with one of my posts, and it seemed successful in giving me +1 karma. However, it seems that it is probably impossible to make do this again and again and again, as KYM allows only one vote per person.
What concerns me more is the possibility of somebody posting a link to the upvote as a bait and switch, tricking people into upvoting that post.

I just realized that this might be a bad idea to have this in big capital letters for everyone to see. Should I delete my post?

Perhaps take away the link, if a mod asks for it, be able to provide it.

if/when Karma is able to go into the neg. that is when i'll care about karma. but if it can be used to harm others(meaning their comp.) or KYM, then something should really be done about it.
