We're definitely less "hipster" than tumblr, guys. They're all cool with their "blogging" and their 4chan alliance and all.

Admit it, though, about 80% of us that actually care are probably 4chan users in the closet. So we likely actually have the capability to persuade 4chan users that we're not really worth it since we kind of know how they work.

Neh, now that I really look at this, they make some valid points…

But they're really making valid points that mainly newfags would rage against. Like Rules 1 & 2. Hence why I think at least a few people are actually gonna do it… because the people that do the raids tend to be newfags trying to look cool.

On the other hand, I don't think a lot of newfags would be able to live on 4chan without KYM. There's information here that's pretty hard to find otherwise. I've seen a lot of raid-attempt threads where people are just like, "This site isn't that bad…" and it just kind of feels awkward after that.

Don't they have better things to do in their spare time? Rocketboom can't possibly make that much money, anyway. No offense.

Quite a few actually, mainly gore spammers and "Operation X"s. We've had a few unwanted pictures for a few minutes and that's pretty much the sum of the damage. The Mods on this site are pretty fast working.

Are we going to casually sit by and let these (most likely Palin supporters) spam gore on our site?

We an all last just a few days without KYM right?

They've never done anything long-lasting before. Gore is removed quickly and efficiently, spam and users of the like are banned almost immediately, and that one day we had 20ish spam entries we hid 19ish of them within one or two hours. Our last "Stoptheirscheme" raid we had was 8 months ago, and the site was on lockdown (no forum posting, no wall commenting, no PMing, no entry submitting, no image posting, and no entry commenting) for about an hour. We made it through that one unscathed. So guys, relax. There is no need to worry or fret over this.
