Could someone who works on this site please explain how images make it into the trending photos section?
Many of the trending images have no comments or favorites, so I don't understand what makes them "trending". I understand there have been some changes recently, are you still just playing around with some different algorithms, or is this the way it's going to be?

Inb4 gore trend.
I don't mind MLP images being disable to trend (because we swarm too much like a batteryman deck, I know that feel) but can review be put in it before an Image is about to trend? And be judged accordingly to on how the community will react. . . On a positive note hopefully. Because some of these images. . . y u no get down? Some could be replaced with ones on their respective meme pages, just some ideas to throw out.
