So I just got back from Bumbershoot. If you can handle or get around the steep admission charge, I really recommend it- there's plenty there to make it worth your while for just about anyone, and I say that as a classic rock purist about a music festival comprised almost entirely of newer stuff.
Anyway, I checked in with with a folk rock band fronted by this chick who actually ran away from home at 17 and traveled all around the country by stowing away in train cars until she learned music and formed her group in New Orleans. And it's name?
