Can't really say it's been darker than the dumpster fire that was 2016. But, perhaps darker than 2017 and 2018.

Every year from 07 onwards has been worse and worse, 2014 was when it shifted into maximum overdrive

Two of my dogs died this year so yeah 2019 sucked.

Its been an above average year

My last grandparent died this year but I'll be honest and say 2019 for me personally wasn't as shit as I originally worried it'd be at the start of the year so… bleh.

I got hired by a scam publicity company and had to watch my "boss" straight up lie and hide money from naïve clients, one of them was a elderly man with a struggling business
I straight up just stopped going there and they never tried to contact me again, i never got paid

My most anticipated game got postponed and my previous company bumped me down to part-time for suspicious reasons.

But on the flipside I moved to Austin and got a new job there. Strange how the two worst things at the beginning of the year turned into the best thing towards the second half of the year.

I still have no social life and a horribly nonexistent day-to-day routine that dedicates no specific time for drawing so…

…Yeah, it sucks in a status quo sort of way.

2019 wasn't particularly dark

just kinda shit

2019 was so average that it felt worse then average. Everyone is either tired, disconnected or finding new levels of zealotry to descend to.
We can have better and 2 2019s in a row would be crushing.

To be fair, this entire decade has been one long roller-coaster.
There have been disappointments and sad moments.
There has also been many good things we might not have expected.
But more importantly… it formed boards like riff-raff
