from what i understand its a psychological condition much like depression.

I think you fail to understand that Gender Dysphoria isn't a Psychological Disorder (Software Problem) most of the time, it's a Neurological one (Hardware Problem). The brain is literally wired in a different way than the typical brain. (Autism Spectrum is one of the causes of a Neurological Disorder, and I think you are probably more aware of the weight THAT has on people.)

With Gender Dysphoria, like any other Neurological Disorder, there is no way to "Heal it" or to "Fix It" if you've got it. Just work around it or optimize yourself to increase your performance using these perks. In this case the optimal way to optimize it is to rather than suppress it, to make a physical change that satisfies the demands of that part of the brain.

im generally against any irrevseable body altering surgeries, especially those that damage you, and makes you infertile.

Well I don't know. It doesn't seem impossible to become fertile as the other gender though it may be a few years down the line. We probably won't even need a donor when it becomes a viable option. Combined with the medical practices we have today including Hormone Therapy, Facial Reconstruction, Etc, the change isn't impossible. (Just kinda really experimental and expensive.)

And nobody is forcing you to have one of these surgeries. Just because the option is available doesn't mean you have to go get one of these just to see what it's like. And I'm pretty certain you aren't going to get kidnapped, get your body forcefully changed, and sold for sex or anything.

Yeah, basically what Nats said. You're wired in a different way and it has been proven by many psychologists and is the consensus among psychologists everywhere if you bothered to look things up before ranting about them. You can't just "get over it". I don't like playing the privilege card that much but you've never experienced the feeling so you don't understand it and therefore reject it. I've always hated the "get over it" mindset. Even with things that can be eventually cured like depression just telling people to get over it or suppress it never helps especially an incurable condition such as being transgender. Telling people to get over it doesn't get them over it, it leads to suicide and more psychological problems like, you know, depression!

And like RandomMan said, being against surgery has nothing to do with actual gender dysphoria and is overall a silly opinion to have. If someone wants something done to them, why not allow them the freedom to have it? And these people know what they're going into. It's not like a tattoo where you just get drunk and end up with your body changed. Usually to even just have hormones we have to go through years of therapy and get all kinds of permission slips and such. It's a moderated process.

One more thing to help you understand more, I'd like to expand on what gender dysphoria is and what it means. It's a serious to extreme disgust of your body and your looks and the feeling that you need to change it. Sound familiar? As I said before, it's very similar to the feeling of being overweight or ugly and wanting to do anything within your power to fix it, except oftentimes it is stronger and of course since it's neurological it won't go away until you satisfy it. You stated earlier that people think they're a woman or a man because they like something, and that's some serious misinformation and strawmanning on your part. Of course I have seen people who like something normally for the other gender so they think they are the other gender (aka the stereotype of the Tumblr SJW who abuse gender and make it seem like you can just choose to be whatever the hell you want), but that's not truly what makes someone transgender. At the core it's body dysphoria, or dissatisfaction with your overall appearance and how you sound and all that. A trans-girl could like boy things and vice-versa. For example, I'm a trans-girl but I consider myself more of a "tomboy" since most of the stuff I like is targeted towards guys, yet I still identify as a girl. Why? It's all in the gender dysphoria and your core identity.

ok then, i stand corrected. about the transgenders' issue and im glad i know more about them.

still, i highly dislike the surgery option. with all due respect, sam. "getting over it" is sadly how we are to deal with a lot of problems in life. and that's how i was educated since i remember myself.
i had, and still do, supress and 'get over' a lot of shit, and it didn't drive me to suicide…yet.

i feel that plastic surgeries of this kind is running away from yourself instead of accepting yourself for who you are. but that's just what i feel. apart from the physical damage it causes.
yes, have very little understanding about gender dysphoria, but if it's similar to any of what i have. them im pretty sure its poeeible deal with without surgery.

i see "get over it" a motto in life. life is choke-full of shit. stuff much worse than being disgusted by your body: death of reletives, loss of job, losing friends etc. so if we don't get over the reletevly tame pains of life. how will we be prepared to deal with the horrific pain yet to come?

again, this is just hat i feel, and how i was raised and educated. im not denoucing anyone.

Hmmm…another thought comes to my mind…

Once you know that your entire feeling of Gender Dysphoria is brought about purely because of physical connections in your brain and not at all because you actually are the soul of one being spiritually trapped in the wrong body… Do you need to believe anything that your Gender Dysphoria tries to tell you?

From what position are you to say that all those things you listed are "much worse" then the signals your brain sends not matching with your body? And besides, when you lose your job, you don't "just get over it" and then sit around doing jack shit- you go out and get another one. That's performing an action to alleviate a problem. In that respect, it's the same as reassignment surgery. And you know something else about that job? It might be worse than the last one you had, with lower pay and more manual labor, but that's still way better than not having one at all. Again, kind of a lot like reassignment surgery, with the potential medical issues being outweighed by the good it does in removing yourself from what sometimes can be a literal state of torture. Even then though, I'd just like to point out that those surgery techniques have been developing for decades now, and with surgeons that specialize in it- it's not like something that you hire a guy in a trenchcoat to do with an unbent wire hanger in a dark alley.
