I am seeing a huge rise of anti-sjw, Right Wing Libertarian channels on Youtube. A lot of them pointing out the crap that we liberals are doing (such as safe spaces and trigger warnings). The use of the term "libtard" has increased significantly. It seems like we are getting more and more bitter the more we express our views. And more and more biased towards certain minorities that spew bigotry (Muslims), bigotry is bigotry no matter where it comes from. But it seems like we excuse that kind of bigotry because they are high on the "Oppression scale". We are also becoming more and more radical and are making everything, LITERALLY EVERYTHING, racist, sexist etc. So I have to ask. Are we shooting ourselves in the foot?

Simply put more people are growing up with access to the internet, and the internet id increasingly providing different outlets for us to voice our opinions.
It's true that the number of radical people expressing there opinion grows, but so to does the group of people who don't act like radicals. And generally speaking, a lack of radicalism is a lot less likely to leave an impression on you.
Graphically speaking:
The principal of a vocal minority isn't always valid, but I argue it's certainly applicable in this case. While both groups continue to grow at roughly the same rate, you only really ever notice one group increasing, because it's the one exhibiting behaviors you don't expect from "typical" people online. That means not just /pol/ and KYM and Tumblr, but WebMD, Newgrounds, recipie websites, travel blogs, math tutorials-- literally the whole web as you know it.
I think it would be more fair and accurate to say that the people you're talking about aren't really acting like they have liberal principles in mind. Of course when you're a staunch right-winger, you're not going to take much time to differentiate between the good and bad on the "enemy" side.
Maybe? I guess? I think it's more of a problem with US politics in general. Thanks to gerrymandering , the 2-party system, and an overall increase in partisanship it's forced both the left and right to become more extreme. Add that to the amplifying effect the internet seems to have on vocal minorities, and suddenly it's all SJW's and neocons and nobody can be reasonable about anything.

Your whole paragraph is pointing out how NOT liberal you are to begin with.
And nothing of value was lost.

Is this what a post in Serious Debate is supposed to look like? You could give at least a single reason to substantiate your claim that the OP somehow proves that he's not liberal.
And by the way, the reason why people do what that subreddit tries to mock is that minorities are basically used as pawns in the political game by the people he's referencing, and as such are expected to fall into line with the prevailing groupthink.
>SJWs
>Liberal
There's your first problem. Calling SJWs liberals is like calling a burger patty with ketchup a rib-eye steak with A1 sauce.
If you're not familiar with Horseshoe Theory, look it up some time. Once you get acquainted with it, SJWs will make you a firm believer in a matter of days.
It's reasons like this that I refuse to identify as a liberal or a conservative. That and I agree with both of them regarding different issues and as Chris Rock once said "No decent human being is just one thing". If every stance the left takes is at danger because of the SJWs, it shows why such a system just fucks things over. Let's not forget that the right can just as easily be lumped in with its extremists too. It creates a dichotomy of extremes that makes it so no compromise, smart decisions, or anything gets done. Then it all gets blamed on the present President and his party. Such is American politics.

I think as much as people on the left want to deny it, there's a major problem with a lot of its active members politically and socially in that all of them seem to be heavily biased, extreme in their views, and personally inept in some way.
It's the same as the right was back in the 2000's, trying to deny there were any problems with the party as fat people in rascal scooters became the vision of their supporter base, and a major religious hardline became the dominating force in their policies.
But I feel a lot of those on the right wing have come to realize the problems with completely unchecked corporations and religious views in government. Not in power but in userbase, and have been splintering off in a large number, especially on the internet.
Meanwhile, with the left, what you see instead is a denial that there's any issue at all. A proverbial sticking ones head in the sand, if you would. "That's not the left, those are sjw's", "That's not the left, those are extreme feminists", "That's not the left, that's blacklivesmatter".
The sad truth is, you don't get to pick and choose what is and isn't the left. If they are politically active, socially campaigning, and doing so under the banner of the left; well, they're more the left wing then you are, truth be told. Because they have a larger impact on the liberal and left wing parties then you'll ever hold, just being satisfied as a member of "the majority" who don't do anything.
The right cannot deny the overweight christian as a member of its political group, as much as its embarrased and ashamed over it. The left cannot deny the social justice online crusader either.

I have noticed that most of the things that make me angry these days arent so much bad events but the responses from those on the far left.
The MP assassinated recently, produced a shed tonne of "It's brexit's fearmongering's fault" and I was outraged, they had been so concerned about the backlash against muslims, allways about the backlash, never getting angry about the horror in front of them, even when it was orlando and thier sacred cow being killed off in droves it was all "you cant blame all muslims or islam's teachings for the actions of a few of it's members, it's all the western politics/ the gun's fault"
But when one of thier own, a left wing politician is killed by one lone nut and they go mental, all I can think was "these assholes are the same people who stay so unconcerned when people like me are killed in muslim massacres, they even dont react like this when it's thier own being killed by a muslim in a club, but this one guy is what breaks them? This one lone lunatic, who's only truly distinguishing feature between him and all the other extremists is his origin being white christian Brit, kills a single woman and that makes you more angry than the 49 gay people slaughtered like dogs, because the guy wasnt a muslim?
It's strange, I didnt care that they were angry and lashing out, that they were painting the politics of the attacker as responsible for his actions, even while he was more likely driven over the edge by the hysteria of both sides, well, it's natural, it's how humans deal with shock and pain, I get it.
So why is it here and never there? Why does one death get a reaction yet the thousands dont? Why is our momentary rage never recognized as emotional and instead condemned as signs of racism?
It's the dissonance that makes me furious, not the reaction itself; the double standard. 50 of your own died in the last two weeks but you only react like a human being for the single one not killed by the lunatic muslim. What am I supposed to conclude from that, that westerners matter less to you when it's a muslim killing them?
I just, it's hard not to paint all with a single brush when I'm angry, I kept writing "you" when making this even though I dont thbink I saw it here, for all I know they werent the same people and I got confused. I know, horseshoe theory, the dissonance is there on the far right too with guns but… well… I guess I dont count it because I've never seen it to this degree from a British based right wing party.
It's sickening to see the bond between a people, it's national or cultural identity that's supposed to bring people together whatever side you are on to defend one of our own against those from the outside who would do us harm, to see that become selective. Almost as if half the country is saying "it's ok if you kill one of us westerners, us British, as long as you are muslim."
And I know it's not true for all or even most, but it Fucking feels like it!
