Unless Clinton did an ass pull. Your thoughts?

It's certainly possible. Of course time will tell.

The media says Clinton is winning the election, but almost every single individual who I know, or am acquainted with, are swaying towards Trump. I think that Trump will win the popular vote, but the electoral college will ultimately decide the future of the office. It can be any one's game.

If Trump ends up winning, I'll drink my first shot.

The few people you meet, in your limited area of meeting people, are not necessarily representative of the entirety of the United States. Keep that in mind.

Anyways, if I was forced to place money or in general pick one who I thought would win, I'd pick Clinton. Wouldn't be a confident selection, however.

I have a feeling Trump will win, which sucks, because I feel if we didn't have the personification of corruption on the other party, Trump would get slaughtered.

I fully believe Clinton will win. She's got the demographic lead (even though turnout will likely be a lot less then for Obama) and generally has fewer gaffes than Trump, which can influence independents. I don't think it'll be the BTFO many liberals had wet dreams about after the DNC, though. She'll probably win by about 3 or 4 percent and all the liberals will pat themselves on the back for averting 1933 and then be horrified when she signs TPP and starts beating the war drums over Syria.

The only way I see Trump winning is if the Ruskies have some dirt tucked away they'll leak in late October or even early November--after the debates and too late for her to do effective damage control. It would have to truly be Watergate-tier to have any effect, though, and the thing about Watergate is it took months to connect to Nixon. Clinton's a lifelong politician and I fully expect she's well insulated herself and has many people ready to fall on swords before anything damning can be directly connected to her.

I really hope clinton wins. I don't like her but fucking hell I don't wan't someone who clearly isn't in the right mind to be president. I have friends who are sincerely terrified of being deported. I am terrified that a trump presidency will undo all the progress so far that has been made. What if he overturns gay marriage? What if he nominated chief justice's as crazy as him? Has anyone who's voting trump paid any attention to brexxit and how much racism that brought out? How could anyone in their right mind not believe he would do that same thing to america?

Sure clinton has some ethical issues but but I'd rather maintain the current shitty system right now than make it worse for anyone that isn't white.

Hillary will allow hundreds of thousands of refugees which are mostly Muslim which is anti gay to the maximum degree. She doesn't truly care for gay marriage or or the rights of anyone.

So you really think trump is less likely to overturn gay marriage law? Or that muslims are the only religon that is homophobic, has had violent people, and already integrated in america?

I still can't stand both of them, but I have a feeling that it'll be Hillary Clinton who wins the election. Why?

1. The media is on her side. Not only that, but she's has a lot of power in Washington (from what I've seen).
2. She's been a house hold name since Bill Clinton was the President in the 90s.
3. She's a woman, which for a lot of American voters is the sole reason they're voting for her.
4. In a world where the United States is moving more and more towards the left wing, I don't think Donald Trump will get the majority vote.

But whatever, that's just what I think. Don't have to agree with me.

I've seen considerable discussion on the topic, so if anyone wants to, a new thread might be interesting.

Clinton has been pushing for the female vote a bit too much at times. It's borderline "if you are a woman, it is your duty to vote for me, because I am a woman."

While it will help a bit, plenty of women are sober enough to understand it's a shit reason to vote for her. Likewise they don't wish to feel forced to vote for her.

So I wouldn't bet on the female vote too much.

But that won't stop sore losers from saying: "She only beat Trump because she's a woman"; if she wins. Which, in the end, I think will happen.

I would like to remind those of us in this thread going "Trump won't win, Clinton has too much political pull" that people were saying pretty much the same thing during the primaries. "Trump can't win, too many republicans believe too much in the party and it's stances to vote for an outsider to represent them"

Has anyone noticed that a lot of Hilary supporters aren't too fanatical about her, to the point they admit they are more voting against Trump than voting for her, compared to Trump supporters, which are steadily approaching religion status at this point? As much as I don't want Trump to win, I think too many people are counting him out, when every time we did that, he's won.

There is still a former top comment that was a reply to my comment, saying "Trump can't win, ever!" that I am waiting to reply "You were saying?" too. Months ago, no one thought we would get to the point where Trump is not only the republican nomination, but keeping up with Clinton in the polls. That attitude back then is the same I'm seeing right now in this thread and it is scaring the shit out of me.

This is really Trump's only big advantage. He's got an enthusiastic base and enthusiasm for your candidate = high turnout. As the saying goes, it's a lot easier to vote for someone then to vote against someone else.

The question is, can that mostly white enthusiastic base overwhelm the ~70% of blacks, Hispanics, millennials, etc. that support Clinton but may not give enough of a shit to show up on Election Day.

Complacency could factor in as well. "Trump will never win! He's such a bad person and so unqualified. I'll just stay home. My vote won't matter anyway since Clinton will completely crush him." You get 20,000 Dems thinking that in Florida and it suddenly turns red.

There's another related saying: If everyone who was a Democrat voted, they'd have supermajorities throughout the country.

And looking at another vital swing state Ohio, a saying is: To win Ohio, you must convince the working voters. Most of Ohio votes R and is consiervative in some areas that rival the deep south. the big Manufacturing hubs have mainly been democratic leading. Some areas such as the really rural areas and Coal Country are always going to vote majority for R. Now with these two canidates, Coal country REALLY doesnt like Clinton, the industrial areas dont like her for what Bill Clinton did with NAFTA and if she does support the TPP it would look really bad on her to the working class especially to workers in the Steel and Auto industries. Trump will do well regardless in Rural and Coal Country but may struggle with the blue collar towns unless he can get a big momentum on insourcing and protecting jobs. He has brought Ford into his line of sight and many americans have looked down on Ford since the 80s for being the Automaker who has shipped most jobs to mexico. His (unlikely) 35% tax on Hermosillo built Fords and response to the Focus plant in Michigan is a great way to get the Autoworkers and Union members who mainly lean blue to get on the Trump train.

The beginning statement is completely true Unfortunately, I am unable to speak with every single citizen voters in the United States, as there are far too many for one individual to take into consideration. Believe me when I say that, if possible, I would want to hear every single individual's thoughts on who would most likely win the election. Therefore, outside sources (such as reputable charts and news sources) must be utilized to determine the potential popular vote.

Everyone has to remember the actual booth pressure. Once people step into the voting booth and the actual choice comes up some people may flip to another candidate.

Sad thing is how close both the Democrats and Republicans were to winning. All they had to do was nominate ONE decent candidate and they would have had this sealed. Anyone but Trump would likely easily be ahead of Hillary. Anyone but Hillary would easily be able to stomp Trump. But they both chose the absolute WORST candidates they could have and now people are just thinking about who they think will fuck up the least.

Will Trump win? I think that depends on what happens in the last few weeks before the election. If Trump can keep up his "say retarded shit that no human should" method and Hillary can just keep her fucking head down she could easily win. If Hillary has any more major scandals before the end then it might be Trump who ends up winning.

But no matter who wins, America is doomed
