Idk, not an economics expert, I would think overall free rent would help more because some people likely pay more than that a month

and most pay less than that, so wouldn't it make way more sense to help the majority, not the small minority
While the 2k is tempting, I fell as if the free rent would have less long term economic consequences. The tax rate already shot back up to Obama Admin levels just to pay for the 1200 we all got, and that's still going to have BIG ramifications down the line, I personally don't want to know what doing it again is going to do to the economy, where as free rent for a month would only really affect one industry, and they would bounce back fairly quickly considering the coffers most apartments have. Afterall, when everyone needs a place to live and you have reliable cash flow for your entire existence, what exactly is one month to you?
Why not income based on zip code?
2k a month is a lot in a small town, dog shit in a city
$2k/month is more fair and flexible.
