What if we made the Image removing easier for the mods...

Good idea, except that you'd have to convince people to tag images in the first place…

In all seriousness, send Loli,
Loli, Delta, myself, or any other media mods links in a PM with them and we'll deal with it.
Not saying you can't do your plan, but if they really need to be gone, sending us a PM would generally be faster, and we could explain why an image should remain if it is miss reported.
Same goes for images that are in the wrong gallery.

Um, what exactly would edit me entail?

Anyways, I had actually used the tag movegallery before the most recent image moderates got powers, with the gallery it should be in in the notes section. I still got to get a few of those sorted out.

Also, I would love it if mods could convince users to use tags in general, but that's another issue.

Frankly, the best way to make our lives easier is to promote three things:

  • Image tagging
  • Avoiding uploading images to umbrella galleries
  • Use of the reaction tags on not only Reaction Faces but any images that deserve a tag; if you can't add a reaction tag to an image, then that image likely doesn't belong in RF in the first place

Basically we need people to know tagging's important, that there are a LOT of galleries to choose from beyond the umbrella galleries (Reaction Faces, GIF, Anime, Childhood Enhanced, Ruined Childhood, Video Game Logic, Alternate Universe, and a few others I'm sure), and that just because you can use an image as a reaction doesn't mean it belongs in Reaction Faces.

I've been seeing definite improvement at least, so we got that going for us. Just wish it would happen faster.

There's a lot of NSFW. Question, do they really contribute to the entry?

Take the Avatar gallery for instance. You can almost always find fanart of bikini clad Korra and Asami making out. Normally I'm ok with this, fanart, shipping, let it pass. Not all of it is NSFW, but still, there's some pretty extreme art.

NSFW art of intense Korra + Asami love making

SFW art of Korra + Asami

In my opinion, the first link represents the material I wouldn't want to see on this site. If you're that into it, Google rule 34 and you'll find tons more elsewhere. We aren't here to host pornography. The second link I think is fine. It doesn't have any nude art and isn't full on sex.

We have NSFW filters for a reason, we shouldn't abuse it.

That is actually an excellent point, and something that'll have to be discussed with the other mods.

Personally, I'm on your side, Gary. While I'm aware that there are some users that post nothing but very sexy or sexualized images to the galleries, sometimes it feels we need to put a throttle on it or something. It bugs me because, since I'm always lurking on the Trending page, you can bet your ass that the more popular images are the ones of a big-boobed Flannery from Pokemon or some spicy Korra x Asami.

It's fine in moderation, and I don't really think we're getting too many of those kinds of pictures, but I may be wrong.

EDIT: As I browse the images I'd like to also mention I'm sick of all the borderline r34 that is put into Childhood Enhanced.

I'm gonna start using those Delete Me, Move me, edit me etc tags for images. If it catches on, I don't know but I'll use them for if I see images like that

I think we should have the borderline r34 ones like "Review me" or something
