The memes often use the GIF alongside the phrasal template, "Me when he X," with "X" being something either genuine or ironic a man might do to turn the poster on. On March 20th, 2022, a 9GAG^[1] user posted a GIF from the 2022 film Deep Water where Ana de Armas licks her hand then lowers it and gives a man in a car a hand job, garnering over 1,100 upvotes in a year (shown below). This is the earliest known upload of the scene as a GIF (shown below).

On June 20th, 2023, Twitter^[2] user @PRINCESSVlCKY posted the GIF under the caption, "me when my man tells me he's stressed," garnering over 97,700 likes in two days (shown below).
