About
Asexual Celebrity Moodboard is an ironic meme in which a celebrity is represented in a black, grey, white and purple color scheme alongside asexual imagery and quotes. Such "asexual moodboards" humorously portray celebrities, typically musicians, as being "ace" by editing their lyrics or appearance. The trend can be traced back to an Asexual Nicki Minaj moodboard first posted on Tumblr in 2016.
Origin
On November 28th, 2016, Tumblr[1] user @emkaniff made a grid post on Tumblr titled, "asexual nicki minaj moodboard." The post showed the rapper donning the black, grey, white and purple color scheme associated with the asexual community, as well as edited lyrics that read, "Yo I never fucked / never fucked / On my life man, fuck's sake." The post gathered over 95,000 likes in seven years (seen below).

On October 4th, 2019, Redditor[3] /u/dogshid posted an "Asexual Bladee Moodboard" to /r/sadboys, gathering over 200 upvotes in five years (seen below, right).
