Belial Behemoth Beelzebub or the "Year Zero" Ghost Trend is a TikTok trend where users show evil or cursed images or footage of their pets over the opening lyrics to Ghost's song "Year Zero," where they sing a number of different names for the devil. The trend began in September 2022.

Origin

On September 12th, 2022, TikToker[1] @carponasi posted a video set to "Year Zero" by Ghost where an evil or cursed looking photo of their cat is shown each time a name for the devil is sang, garnering over 500,000 views in a week (shown below).

The trend spread under the same original sound over the following days. On September 19th, 2022, TIkToker[2] @winston_da_ween posted a similar video using videos of their dog, garnering over 12.7 million views in four days (shown below, left). On September 21st, TIkToker[3] @ladyandtheblues posted a similar video, garnering over 20 million views in two days (shown below, right). On that day, Louder Sound[4] reported on the trend.
