Big Gigachad vs. Manlet is an exploitable object-labeling meme format featuring a giant and blue-tinted Gigachad set against a starry backdrop with a smaller male figure in front of it. The meme is typically used to depict the superiority of an object or idea in relation to something and began seeing use in late 2020, spreading over the following years.

Origin

The earliest known upload of the big Gigachad meme was on November 12th, 2020, to the subreddit /r/okbuddyretard by Redditor /u/dolphin-hear-jotaro,[1] where it gathered over 6,000 upvotes in two years (seen below, left). The image was likely sourced from a Mematic upload from around the same time named "omega chad" (seen below, right).[2]

While the earliest known image of the big Gigachad was posted in November 2020, the meme was not widely used until May 2021, with Redditor[3] /u/dollon_da_god posting a viral version of the meme to /r/dankmemes, gathering over 15,000 upvotes in roughly two years (seen below, left). On May 10th, 2021, Imgur[4] user cjessop199 posted another version of the meme, gathering over 90,000 views in a similar timeframe (seen below, right).
