The earliest known upload of the big Gigachad meme was on November 12th, 2020, to the subreddit /r/okbuddyretard by Redditor /u/dolphin-hear-jotaro,^[1] where it gathered over 6,000 upvotes in two years (seen below, left). The image was likely sourced from a Mematic upload from around the same time named "omega chad" (seen below, right).^[2]

While the earliest known image of the big Gigachad was posted in November 2020, the meme was not widely used until May 2021, with Redditor^[3] /u/dollon_da_god posting a viral version of the meme to /r/dankmemes, gathering over 15,000 upvotes in roughly two years (seen below, left). On May 10th, 2021, Imgur^[4] user cjessop199 posted another version of the meme, gathering over 90,000 views in a similar timeframe (seen below, right).
