Cannibal Dance is a TikTok dance created by TikToker @ya.girl.bri.bri97 danced to the 2010 song "Cannibal" by Kesha. The dance went viral in February 2020 after TikTokers and YouTubers like Charli D'Amelio and James Charles uploaded videos of themselves performing the dance.

Origin

On January 12th, 2020, TikToker @ya.girl.bri.bri97 posted the original dance she made to the song "Cannibal" by Kesha (shown below). The video garnered over 72,400 likes in a month.

Spread

On February 7th, 2020, TikToker @charlidamelio performed the dance in a video that received over 5.7 million likes in two weeks (shown below, left). On February 12th, TikToker @addisonre uploaded a video in which she performs the dance with her mom which garnered over 3.6 million likes in two weeks (shown below, center). The next day, James Charles performed the dance and posted it to his TikTok account (shown below, right). The video gained over 2.1 million likes in 13 days. Later in February StayHipp[1] reported on the dance trend.
