CEO of Racism, also known as The Guy Who Invented Racism, refer to fictional antagonistic figures referenced in ironic memes. Memes mentioning the CEO (or inventor) of racism, ISIS, slavery, sex and other things, systems and processes which cannot have a CEO or inventor figure by definition, gained popularity in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit in June 2019.

Origin

On June 16th, 2019, Redditor downout4thacount posted a still image of Peter Griffin shooting a minigun from episode "Amish Guy" of animated TV series Family Guy, captioned "me when I fond the guy that invented prostate cancer" (shown below).^[1] The post gained over 15,800 upvotes in two weeks.

In the following days, more memes in which users promised to inflict violence or otherwise interact with people who supposedly invented, among other things, racism, farting, sex and society, were posted in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit (examples shown below).^[2]^[3]

CEO Variations

On June 25th, Redditor ducc777 posted a photograph of GigaChad with two other men, captioning it "We want to talk to the CEO of racism" in the spirit of Damn Just Found Out memes (shown below).^[4] The post gained over 21,200 upvotes in six days.

In the following days, more memes referencing supposed CEOs of racism, ISIS and other organizations, systems and processes which cannot have a CEO figure by definition or logic, were posted in the subreddit. For example, on June 27th, Redditor succ_at_memes89 posted a meme referencing "CEO of ISIS" which gained over 16,900 upvotes in four days.^[5]

On June 29th, /r/okbuddyretard moderators imposed a ban on the "CEO" and "Inventor" memes.^[6]

CEO of Sex

Jacob Batalon Saying Things, also known as You Seem Chill and CEO of Sex, refers to a series of ironic memes based on a photograph of the American actor Jacob Batalon dressed in a grey suit and smiling. Memes in which the photograph is paired with humorous captions gained popularity in ironic communities in early August 2019.
