Chicken Leg Piece, also known as Chicken Leg Bis, is a catchphrase used by Indian TikToker Ulhas Kamathe before he bites into a cooked chicken leg. Ulhas Kamathe has been posting food eating videos since October 2019, and the often-used phrase has gained attention for how he says the phrase "chicken leg piece."

Origin

On October 31st, 2019, Ulhas Kamathe^[1] posted the first TikTok video in which he says "Chicken Leg Piece" (shown below). The video gained over 34,800 likes in a month.

Spread

On November 20th, 2019, Ulhas Kamathe uploaded one of his most popular "Chicken Leg Piece" videos (shown below, left). The video accumulated over 290,100 likes in 20 days. On November 25th, TikTok users like @rollerplate dueted the video to comment on the phrase (shown below, center). On December 7th, TikTok user @thejoshbingham posted a video in which he dances to the sound of Kamathe saying "chicken leg piece" (shown below, right). The video garnered over 65,500 likes in four days.

That same day, YouTuber Television Monkey uploaded "Chicken Leg Piece TikTok Meme Compilation" (shown below). The video received over 9,780 views in four days. On December 10th, Time^[2] published "Here's How the Chicken Leg Piece Memes Spread."
