Cornn Flaek refers to an image macro of SCP-096 eating a bowl of corn flakes, intentionally misspelled "cornn flaek." The image became a popular deep fried memes and surreal meme on Reddit.
Origin
On June 19th, 2018, Redditor bowscop3r posted a Why Is Millennial Humor So Weird meme using an image of SCP-096 approaching a bowl of corn flakes, with the caption intentionally misspelled as "cornn flaek," gaining over 38,000 points in /r/DeepFriedMemes[2] (shown below).
Spread
Over the following months, the image began spreading across various subreddits. On July 3rd, 2018, Reddit user Latricc posted a less deep-fried image to /r/dankmemes,[1] gaining 130 points (shown below, left). On October 25th, 2018, user skinnynipps[3] posted a Mom Can You Give Me Money? edit to /r/dankmemesfromsite19 with the image, gaining over 280 points (shown below, right).
On March 25th, 2019, Urban Dictionary user jeesus_himself posted a definition to the site,[4] defining it as "a meme that didnt really get that big but was very deep fried" (shown below).
