Origin
On April 19th, 2019, a photo of Diane Abbott was shared on to social media which showed her drinking a mojito on a London Overground train which was illegal since the organisation banned the use of alcohol on the trains since 2008
Reaction
In response to the picture being taken, the media sprung on to what happened and some scrutinised Abbott for it.
On April 21st, 2019, in response to the photo and the media attention that came out of it, Diane Abbott apologised over the incident.
Public Response
Members of the public had defended Diane Abbott and received messages of sympathy and support as she was regularly harassed by the media.

A Facebook event was created for June 22nd, 2019, entitled "Sipping a cheeky mojito on the Overground" which went viral and received attention in the media in the days after the incident.
