Dolphin Pussy Jelly refers to a viral 2020 post to Facebook in which a user falsely claims that the vaginal secretion of dolphins, which the user refers to as "dolphin pussy jelly," makes male dolphins ejaculate repeatedly. They go on to describe how scientists once tested the secretion on a monkey's penis and it died of a heart attack due to too much sex and advocate for releasing the jelly as a form of suicide. The post inspired a number of photoshops and image macros, and later became a copypasta.

Origin

On March 11th, 2014, Redditor u/_apprentice_ made a post to /r/todayilearned^[3] sharing a namsla.wikidot^[2] page for "Dolphin Vagina," created on June 18th, 2009, claiming that female bottlenose dolphins "secrete an organic chemical while mating that allows a male to orgasm for as long as the penis remains within the vaginal tract, resulting in multiple continuous ejaculations." The page then goes into detail about how to mate with a dolphin. The page is a troll, and there is no evidence to support the claim that female dolphins secrete a chemical like this.

On April 14th, 2020, Redditor u/Dabber_danny posted a screenshot to /r/WIDRT^[1] (Wish I Didn't Read That) of a Facebook comment by a censored user describing how female dolphins have vaginal secretions that make male dolphins "cum over and over and over." The user goes on to deem this secretion "dolphin pussy jelly," and says that scientists once rubbed it on a primate's penis to observe the effects. The jelly had the same effect on the primate but worked too well, and the monkey had a heart attack from cumming too much. The user ends the comment by suggesting people sell dolphin pussy jelly as a form of suicide by orgasm (shown below).

On October 27th, 2020, iFunny^[4] user The_Edgy_Veggie posted a photoshop of a jar of Smucker's jelly with a dolphin on it reading "Dolphin Pussy Jelly," imagining how the final product might look (shown below).

On June 10th, 2021, Redditor u/pabrez posted a Dying Orangutan image macro referencing the story to /r/196,^[5] gaining over 9,800 upvotes in two months (shown below).

Copypasta

The original Facebook comment from April 2020 was later used as a copypasta with the following text:

So female dolphins have vaginal secretions that make a male dolphin just cum over and over and over. From this point on, I will call these secretions “Dolphin Pussy Jelly.” Scientists were like “holy shit, dude we gotta test this. You know, for science.” So the scientists collected a sample of said Dolphin Pussy Jelly, and had a test primate. They swabbed it on the male primate’s dick, sat back and watched the show. Now you see, it worked. But it worked a little too well. The monkey straight up had a heart attack because it used all of its energy into fucking cumming. I want to like in a world where this is a commercial product. I want I to say “you know what, I want to die and I know what to do about it.” I want to live in a world where I can go into my local grocery store, pick up a bottle of “Smucker’s Dolphin Pussy Jelly,” and just fucking cum myself to death.
