Rumors that Erika Kirk is pregnant following Charlie Kirk's death started spreading as early as October 27th, 2025, when the Facebook^[1] page The World Today shared a post making the claim along with a fake photo of Erika Kirk holding up an ultrasound photo.

The post is no longer available, but has been reported on and shared by sites like Distractify^[2] in an effort to debunk the rumors.

Spread

The rumor continued to spread online in the weeks leading into November 2025 after it was made, inspiring memes and posts sharing the false claim, with some expanding on the rumor to tie the pregnancy to Vice President J.D. Vance, especially as theories of the two being romantically involved spread during the same timeframe.

On November 23rd, 2025, X^[4] user @futurerelica quoted a post by X user @princess_kim_k sharing a photo of Erika Kirk hugging J.D. Vance, writing, "It’s going to come out that Erika’s baby boy is Vance’s – You heard it here 1st." The quote-post reads, in part, "Erika just announced that she is 8 weeks pregnant with what would be her third baby with Charlie Kirk. Only problem is Charlie died 10 weeks ago. The numbers just don't add up […] coupled with the fact that JD Vance's wife seems to have taken off her wedding ring. It seems it's obvious."

Later that day, X^[5] user @radioaplebigfan posted, "Erika kirk is 8 weeks pregnant and charlie kirk died 10 weeks ago," along with a Kirkified meme, garnering over 164,000 likes in two days.

On November 24th, 2025, X^[6] user @Bricktop_NAFO posted, "There are rumors going around saying that Erika Kirk is 8 weeks Pregnant when Charlie got shot 10 weeks ago. All I’m saying, if that baby comes out looking like a sofa, I know who did it," joking that the dad is J.D. Vance while referencing the couch story hoax, garnering over 3,600 likes in a day.

On November 24th, 2025, USA Today^[3] and others reported that Erika Kirk was not pregnant, as revealed on the Megyn Kelly Show, but that she was "praying" that she was pregnant when her husband Charlie died.
