In response to a Reddit r/AmITheAsshole thread, where a woman refused to allow her boyfriend to have lunch meat, Reddit user u/VinnyCapistrano replied:

">semi- irrational phobia of any type of sliced, lunch meat

There is NOTHING "semi"-irrational about a fear of sliced meat. It is 100% irrational, and you should be seeking mental help to deal with it instead of forcing these ridiculous rules on your boyfriend.

YTA.

Edit: After OP's Edit#2:

ESH. You're both just enabling each other's mental illnesses. You're both perfect for each other. Never change. Just never involve anybody else in what you've got going on."

The original post has since been deleted, but has been archived on r/AmITheDevil as an AutoModerator comment.

The screenshot was posted to Tumblr on the same day by Tumblr user straightboyfriend. The post grew in popularity around 2023, the text eventually becoming a copypasta. It's most common usage is in describing fictional toxic relationships and characters.
