Overview

21 Savage Scams Adin Ross Controversy or Adin Ross Scammed By 21 Savage refers to a gambling stream on Kick in early February 2024 in which Adin Ross was allegedly scammed by rapper 21 Savage using marked cards (presumed to be identified with scratches) when playing the card game High Card. The accusation, which happened on stream and continued afterward, led to a notable amount of backlash against 21 Savage over the following days, particularly due to a purported Instagram Story he posted in reaction to the allegations.

Background

On February 1st, 2024, Kick streamer Adin Ross hosted hip-hop artist 21 Savage, who had recently appeared on Kai Cenat's stream, where they proceeded to play NBA 2K for money, which Kai Cenat lost. When this proposition came up against Ross, however, 21 Savage lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. In an attempt to get his money back, 21 Savage suggested they play High Card in which cards from a deck are chosen and the highest one wins (reupload of stream shown below).

In a clip posted by TikToker Tanner McManus[1] on February 2nd, it appears that one of 21 Savage's crew members taps on a card that wins him the round (shown below).

Following a sudden round of losing to 21 Savage, Adin Ross was later tipped off by a member of his team that the cards appeared to have markings on them as if they were scratched or dented to show which ones were high value. This moment was clipped and reuploaded to TikTok by TikToker Streamyclippp[2] on February 3rd, 2024, and shows Ross comparing the cards and figuring out that they were marked (shown below).

After 21 Savage had left Adin Ross's house after he had lost several rounds of betting, Ross had also tested the dice that were used in a dice game after the initial High Card and confirmed to himself that the dice had appeared to favor rolling a seven over any other number. This clip was uploaded to TikTok by TikToker KlapsClips[3] on February 2nd (shown below).

Online Reactions

The reactions to all the clips and evidence posted by Adin Ross quickly spread online following the stream, with multiple people involved in Adin Ross's and 21 Savage's circles responding. On February 2nd, 2024, Kai Cenat, who had 21 Savage on his stream days before, posted his reaction to Ross allegedly being scammed by him, which was clipped and uploaded to TikTok by user Stitchy,[4] which includes showing how 21 Savage purportedly had the cards switched out from a fresh deck to a marked one when Adin wasn't looking (shown below).

On social media, numerous fans almost immediately started to turn on 21 Savage following the stream, posting song lyrics of his or talking about his previous arrests and implying that it isn't out of character for him to be acting the way he portrays himself.

For example, on February 2nd, 2024, X user @ykkswb[6] uploaded an image of 21 Savage looking over the cards intently trying to find the marked one while having song lyrics from 21 Savage in which he says that he lies and cheats placed on top of the image (shown below).
