Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau Twitter Feud refers to the public argument between ex-couple Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau in which Thorne accuses Mongeau of breaking "girl code" and only dating her for "Twitter" notoriety. Fans speculate that Thorne began the fight over photos of Mongeau going out to dinner with Thorne's ex, Mod Sun.

On July 17th, 2019, Tana Mongeau[2] responded to Thorne's post by saying, "imagine taking every time ur mad at me to twitter but then telling ppl how much u care about me" (shown below, left). The tweet garnered over 49,900 likes in two days. Thorne tweeted again saying that Mongeau began dating her for "Twitter" and should call her on the phone (shown below, right). Tana Mongeau[3] concluded by saying, "dude what are you doing bella? like i have no idea why you’re mad, i’ve been texting you every minute since you tweeted, and for you to be tweeting me something as hurtful as saying I dated you for Twitter is literally fucking nuts & if you honestly think that damn i lost you" (shown below). The tweet gained over 35,800 likes and 800 retweets in two days. Following the argument both parties began retweeting tweets that apply to the argument.

That same day, fans began speculating as to what exactly started the fight. Twitter user @moonlightlore[4] tweeted, "Tana and Mod went out for dinner last night" (shown below, left). The tweet garnered over 1,700 likes in two days. Most followers agreed that this was what started the fight. On July 18th, Thorne's ex Mod Sun[5] tweeted, "Fake people expose themselves… they act out of emotion every time. 2019 we thinking before we speak :)" (shown below, right). The tweet accumulated over 1,600 likes in a day.
