"Hey Men" and They Are Pigs, also written as "Hey Men" and They're Pigs or with emojis as "Hey Men" and They Are Pigs 😭😭😭😭, refers to a viral tweet about a lyric and its corresponding scene in the music video for Sabrina Carpenter's song "Manchild," in which she's sitting in a bathtub and lip dubs, "Hey, men," as she nods to two pigs sitting with her. The tweet, originally posted by Twitter / X user @hotmessjunk in June 2025, called out the play on words in the scene, which likened men to pigs. In the following months, the tweet was parodied as its caption became a phrasal template, roughly following, "Hey X" and They Are Y 😭😭😭😭.

Origin

On June 6th, 2025, X[1] user @hotmessjunk tweeted a clip from the music video for Sabrina Carpenter's "Manchild," in which Carpenter is sitting in a bathtub with two pigs and lip-syncs, "Hey, men," as she nods to them. The moment occurs at the music video's 2:24-minute mark on YouTube,[2] which was uploaded on that same day.

@hotmessjunk captioned the clip, "'Hey men' and they are pigs 😭😭😭😭," gaining over 82.3 million views and 277,000 likes in five months.

The X post received numerous viral quote-tweets from others on the app over the following days.

For instance, on June 7th, 2025, X[3] user @zkdlinhwa shared a quote-tweet, writing, "I love her but this is very disrespectful to pigs," garnering over 479,000 likes in five months.
