About

IsraelGPT refers to a phrasal template meme that began gaining traction in 2025. The trend involves Twitter / X users posting tweets in which they prompt a make-believe ChatGPT variant called "IsraelGPT" to generate music, television shows and sports teams they dislike or consider to be the worst example of a category. The phrasal template typically makes heavy use of emojis and follows the template, "IsraelGPT 🇮🇱 please 🙏 generate me an X that will Y / BZZT BZZT 🤖 Your next X 📝 will be called Y." The meme reflects growing anti-Israel sentiments on some corners of the internet after the Hamas-Israel Conflict broke out in 2023, and plausibly takes inspiration from the similar I'm an Artist From Israel meme.

Origin

On August 31st, 2025, X[1] user @JudgeEyesLover tweeted, "'Hey IsraelGPT, generate me a new visual novel to read!' '🤖🤖🤖 PROCESSING REQUEST…..YOUR NEXT VISUAL NOVEL WILL BE UMINEKO WHEN THEY CRY🤖🤖🤖,'" in reference to the Japanese dōjin soft visual novel series Umineko When They Cry. The tweet appears to the deriding the novel by describing it as something "IsraelGPT" would create.
