Don Pollo in Spain refers to trip to Spain that TikToker Don Pollo, also known as the King of Ohio, took in June 2025. Videos of Don Pollo getting mobbed by fans and speaking to large crowds while wearing a king's costume went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms. His trip coincided with his partnership with KFC España, which announced the "Menú Don Pollo."

Background

On June 8th, 2025, the official Twitter / X ^[1] account of KFC España shared a promotional video with TikToker Don Pollo. KFC España also shared it to TikTok^[2][3] in two parts as collaboration posts with @kappahhh4 and Don Pollo. The videos gained over 215,900 likes and 3 million likes, respectively, over 10 days (shown below).

The video announced the Don Pollo Menu, or "El Menú Don Pollo," which was added to the KFC España website.^[4] According to the site, the meal would include five strips of chicken, potatoes, a drink, sauce and picante, plus a pack of three "King of Ohio" stickers, which were shown in the abovementioned videos.

The KFC España TikTok account continued to share videos with Don Pollo, like one TikTok^[5] shared on June 14th, which showed Don Pollo dressed like a king, speaking to a crowd of people from a balcony. Over four days, the video gained over 443,600 likes (shown below).

Also on June 14th, 2025, Don Pollo posted his point of view of the same event to TikTok,^[6] gaining over 5.1 million likes in four days (shown below).

Online Reactions

Other people in Spain took videos of Don Pollo during his trip. In many of the recordings, crowds of fans surrounded him, evident in a video posted by TikToker^[7] @janilol23_ on June 12th, 2025, which showed Don Pollo being escorted out of a KFC. The video's caption read, "Bro, I just wanted a picture with Don Pollo," gaining over 96,000 likes in six days (shown below).

A different angle of the abovementioned scene was posted by TikToker^[8] @injustice_hub on June 12th, who added the caption, "Aura." Over six days, it received roughly 6,900 likes (shown below).

On June 14th, 2025, TikToker^[9] @consiao__ reposted KFC España's TikTok^[5] of Don Pollo speaking to a crowd, adding the caption, "Aura." Over four days, the video received roughly 11,600 likes (shown below).

On June 16th, TikToker^[10] @gerberttheegg posted a video about Don Pollo's Spain trip. He said, "Hey, so why is Don Pollo the new King of Spain?" He further said, "He's like a celebrity over there. This is national news there." His video gained over 211,800 likes in two days (shown below).
