Mary Kate Cornett and Boyfriend's Dad Erik Solis Alleged Cheating Scandal refers to a viral story about an Ole Miss college girl named Mary Kate Cornett who allegedly slept with her boyfriend's dad named Erik Solis. Her boyfriend, Evan Solis, purportedly did not break up with her afterward, and the two remained together. The story went viral on Twitter / X in late February 2025. A group of Twitter users called the "SEC Burnerverse" initially spread the story, comprised of college-age men at Southeastern Conference (SEC) schools using "burner" accounts, meaning alternative Twitter accounts in which their identities are anonymous. Snapchat messages were leaked by the group, which detailed Cornett's and Solis' purported encounter. Mary Kate Cornett memes were shared en masse thereafter, leading to the creation of a viral Mary Kate Cornett meme coin and cryptocurrency minted on Pump.fun. Mary Kate Cornett was also compared to fellow female SEC student Lily Lang, who was at the center of a similar controversy in 2024.

On February 24th, 2025, X^[1] user @thekendallroy tweeted, "Anyone else hearing rumblings of this Ole Miss girl banging her boyfriend's Dad? That being said, don't blame the dad #would," receiving over 313,000 views and 3,400 likes in two days. The post was one of the first to outright reference the rumor.

On February 25th, a slew of posts about an Ole Miss student named Mary Kate Cornett surfaced online, believed to be the "Ole Miss girl" referenced in the abovementioned tweet.

For instance, that day, X^[2] user @Kyle_Johnson05 tweeted a Snapchat message sent by an SEC student. The sender claimed that Cornett met her boyfriend's dad at his little sister's sporting event. They allegedly got dinner afterward and had drinks, leading to their eventual hook-up. The sender also stated that the two purportedly slept in the son's bed because the father said, "I wanna fuck you where my son fucks you" (shown below). @Kyle_Johnson05's tweet received over 500,000 views and 4,700 likes in a day.

Later on February 25th, 2025, X^[3] user @jaxtondort85 tweeted photos of Mary Kate Cornett (seen in a red dress) and Erik Solis, allegedly the father involved in the scandal (shown below). The tweet also attached a video of former NBA player Kevin Garnett saying, "Anything is possible!" The post received over 64,000 likes in a day.

X^[4] user @Hunterlsmith_ replied to the abovementioned post later on February 25th, attaching a photo of a Snapchat message outlining more alleged details of Mary Kate Cornett's and Erik Solis' encounter (shown below). It received over 2.3 million views and 3,000 likes in a day.

The unknown Snapchat user claimed that Evan Solis (the boyfriend and son) and his mom had found out about the situation. They also alleged that the affair took place in Houston, Texas where Solis and Cornett are from.

Soon after on February 25th, 2025, X^[5] user @Baginpocket reposted the abovementioned screenshot along with the photo of Cornett in the red dress, and a screenshot of her Instagram page, captioning it, "Mary Kate Context," gaining over 3.1 million views and 22,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Also on February 25th, X^[6] user @th3drunkbastard tweeted a photo of a different Snapchat message, which alleged that Mary Kate Cornett paid Evan Solis $150 on Venmo to not tell anyone about her cheating on him with two other men (shown below). The tweet received over 2.3 million views and 22,000 likes in a day and added to the speculation that Solis stayed with Cornett after she allegedly slept with his father.

On February 25th, 2025, many X users compared Mary Kate Cornett to Lily Lang, a female SEC student who also became the subject of SEC Burnerverse trolling and viral discourse in June 2024.
