Mexican here, and i just have to say, that Mayrte is probably the stupidest person on the internet i have seen in a while. If she actually believed that tweeting "im an illegal lol" would inspire people and give them hope, and not give her any negative reprocusions, then she deserves all the hate she is getting. You are admitting to a crime, you are publicly telling people you are a criminal, and then acting suprised when people talk to you like one is frankly, insulting. And to add salt to the wound, she wasnt even an illegal, so this entire tweet controversy is pointless. The only thing she succeded in is fucking over her life, because from now on, people will only know her as the girl who addmited to being an undocumented online.
