I think it was a mistake to post this online. Sure, he's getting a lot of emotional support, but most of those people will forget about him in a week. I think making him famous online is just going to make him a bigger target for the bullies. Not to mention, there are going to be assholes on the internet who'll come after him.

Remember the last time a mother posted a video of her son crying about being bullied. There was an outpour of support initially, but then some people tried to expose the kid's family as being racist, even arguing the kid deserved to be bullied.

I don't really like sob stories like this. It felt really unfair to those who have the similar or even worse circumstances that people would choose to help this single kid out of pity. I mean don't get me wrong, this kid definitely deserves better, but so does these other bullied kids out there whose voice are unheard of.

Acting out of pity for a single case like this is just a virtue signalling at best, because this case is just a symptom of a disease.

Why don't these celebrities use this as a momentum to launch a larger campaign to prevent kids like these from encountering a similar issues in the future? Don't help the kid, help the cause.
