Overview

RadicalSeb Apology refers to an apology by TikTok user RadicalSeb that has been the inspiration for a series of mocking duet videos on the TikTok. Additionally, people have used video of RadicalSeb bragging and joking about using racist language in duet videos.

Background

On June 14th, 2019, TikTok[1] user @mannequindude published a video from a private video from RadicalSeb of RadicalSeb bragging about using the "n-word." The post received more than 4,900 likes in less than two weeks (shown below).

The following day, TikTok user @flamingo.guts posted a series of apology videos from RadicalSeb, who had since made their TikTok page private. In the four-part apology, RadicalSeb explains the situation and says that he "made people feel uncomfortable" and that he is sorry (shown below)

Developments

The following day, YouTuber Drama Kween published a report on the allegations, recapping the incident (shown below).



Several days later, on June 17th, TikTok user @bithoeji reposted the video, adding music and messages from RadicalSeb that show him using racist language and making sexual advances toward minors via private message. The post received more than 3,800 likes in less than two days (shown below, let).

Following the post, others began performing lipsynced videos to the audio of RadicalSeb's admission (examples below, center and right).

Additionally, people began using the apology itself as the inspiration for lipsync and duet videos (examples below). In these videos, TikTok users engage directly with the video and provide their thoughts on his apology through dance and facial expression.
