Overview
Sillylilyts "Fake Trans" Controversy refers to an allegation that OnlyFans model Lily_Annn, who goes by @silylilyts on Twitter / X, is a cisgender woman pretending to be a transgender woman with a penis and that the "bulge" present in her pictures is a sex toy. The controversy spread in late August and early September 2024 after their Twitter account posted a video of themself and another model titled, "Just two boys being silly," which led people to doubt they were transgender and accuse them of grifting.
Background
The @sillylilyts Twitter account launched in April 2009[1] but has no tweets dated before August 30th, 2024. On that date, the account posted a video of "Lily" and another creator dancing to Charli XCX, captioned, "Just two boys being silly."[2] The post gained over 11.8 million views, 2,200 retweets and 16,000 likes in five days.

Photos of Lily that have leaked online feature her clothed with a bulge suggesting a penis, but it's unconfirmed whether Lily is trans or cisgender. Their Twitter bio reads, "used to be manlier but still a dude."
Developments
The "Just Two Boys Being Silly" video led to harsh reactions as it spread in late August and early September 2024, particularly from the trans community on Twitter, who believed the two creators in the video were cisgender women and that the bulges in their pants were sex toys.
On September 1st, 2024, Twitter user @CantEverDie,[3] herself a trans woman, joked that one could tell the two models were cisgender because they have "no t-girl swag at all," gaining over 3,400 retweets and 113,000 likes in three days.
Others suggested that, were they actually transgender women, they wouldn't refer to themselves as "boys" in their post. For example, on August 31st, Twitter user @lillith_is_epic,[4] also trans, pointed this out in a post that gained 11 likes in four days.
On August 30th, 2024, Twitter user @SugarGSP[5] posted, "This is so gross. You don’t get to cosplay as a trans person then post openly transphobic sh!t for profit," gaining over 1,200 retweets and 27,000 likes in five days.
Some on the other side of the controversy offered joking support for the two models using logic perceived as transphobic by others. For example, in the replies to the original post on August 31st, Twitter user @Bound2Liberty[6] wrote that they "loved" the video, saying, "if trans women = real women, then real women = trans women," gaining over 20 retweets and 1,000 likes in five days.
