Overview
The Death Of Akira Toriyama refers to the sudden passing of the Mangaka behind the Dragon Ball franchise as well as the character designer for Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger and many other works. After news of his death started to circulate, many reactions from others in the Manga field started to spread as well.
Background
On March 8th, 2024, the official X page for Dragon Ball[1] posted an announcement letter signaling that Akira Toriyama had passed away on March 1st, 2024. The post quickly spread, receiving over 12.5 million views in 45 minutes (shown below).
